u need to check ur gauge. what brand u use for ur gauge? ur psi value is incorrect. as i google around 4 kg/cm2 is equal to apprx 60 psi. some gauge has 2 unit scale in it. please check ur gauge thoroughly  smile.gif

broooooo, baru check the readings just now.

mine is at 4 kg/cm2. using arospeed fp. and mine really is showing around 5.2 psi.

means setting is steady la since same as yours.

ya..i yang salah ordered.
then i tried to pasang....no good no good..
so use back the old leftovers...
speedometer led went out..weird.

Mine led still ok :touchwood:

QUOTE(saru04 @ Mar 30 2013, 01:39 AM)
I see. I just checked mine. Its at 5.2 psi if I'm not mistaken.

and things just keep getting more and more confusing.

so far people that told me bout their settings:
1) 3.6 - 3.7 PSI
2) 4.0 - 4.2 (not sure what unit)
3) 4.0 - 5.0 (not sure what unit)

my main concern is simple acceleration improvement be it smoother acceleration or faster and of course not damage my engine.
*
my fpr:
1) tuned using wideband af meter = 2.8 bar (pickup good, top no good)
2) tuned using own butt = 4.0 bar (pickup ok, top good-suitable for highway runner)
3) tuned using own butt = 3.7 bar (for daily run)
4) dori2 punya recipe = 4.5 bar (for high revver only)
from there i can conclude that higher pressure seems to benefit higher rpm range
b4 i forgot, mine is AT

p/s: ran on hiway at 3.9 bar, passed by other speeding car and tried to catch up - a bit heavy.. stopped at roadside and set the fpr to 4.2 bar.. then wahlau, 170kph climbing hills from Bukit Gantang to Kuala Kangsar.. (itu dulu2 la.. sekarang i sudah tua, drive pun slow2)

i believe gen2 doesn't have fuel filter like the normal one u bought at spare part shop. it has a strainer at the fuel pump. its look like dirt trap u found in semi auto washing machine but in small form  tongue.gif

Almost every car has a proper fuel filter. Which need to change after 40k km or so. Its not a normal dirt trap. Car alone has few dirt trap. beside the one you mentioned, there is one inside the big hose that goes to the tank, and the FUEL FILTER is located along the fuel line underneath the car on the driver side smile.gif

No worry. That thing can be replaced DIY style. Just have to make sure to follow the arrow sign correctly.

guys, mau tanya.

my friend's Gen.2 auto downshift at the slightest slope (which i think the problem of every Gen.2 1st gen), which he finds it annoying but don't know where to ask.

So, how to overcome it eh? I heard that updating the ECU at Proton SC helps. is it so?

thanks guys for your wonderful time and effort to explain to a stupid boy like me regarding fuel regulators. Haha.

seems like i have a long way to go in Gen 2 modding.

Nxt step is Adjustable cam pulley, electronic throttle controller and suspensions!

Any advice or brands that is good for the parts I mentioned?

Would be good to hear more from you guys.

X payah. fuel line hanya akan functional bila engine start aka fuel pump bekerja. Sikit ader ler biggrin.gif

Its a safety feature actually. Engine braking slowing the car on slopes. I'll just control the rev to overcome it.
Don't need Proton service center's help.

Tested a friend's Campro fitted with throttle controller. He paid more than RM5xx to fool the ECU laugh.gif .
I feel like throttle controller is work in the way that it send the throttle action to ECU much faster than your foot does, that is why the car is feel quite responsive. But I will rather get a drive by cable modification.

u can disable the auto downshift by jumping some pins on the ecu iinm.. i've seen the diagram, but forgot what pins & where to look for that diagram again..
downside of this mod is it also disable auto upshift laugh.gif
