katz79Lol...me car newbie la. No longer into car modification. More on a DIY.
CEL does not turn on during hot weather jerky ride. Unless the sensors or anything related to it are at fault. More like a characteristic of the Campro engine.
saru04I think good CAI is not a straight hole + air duct job. You need a proper filtration to avoid more dust accumulated in the air filter. Not just sucking air and more water during rainy days....lol.
Can consider bigger air intake too.
Its the quality of air and not the quantity that matter.
Cheap CAI setup cost under RM1xx and the good one with filtration cost over RM2xx.
Position of O2 sensor on aftermarket extractor does affect the AF ratio reading. Could be false reading and running too lean.
I just DIY changing the air-con fan motor with high speed one and flush the radiator. Now using Toyota coolant. I noticed car behave as usual during hot weather.
thanks for the reply bro.
do you have recommendations on which brand or workshop to do a good CAI that does not over charge me?
you can also PM me if it is not right to reveal workshop names here.
my O2 sensor should be okay and there's no CEL lights on.
just only when the weather is hot, car seems to be jerky and lack of power to accelerate but when its night time my car is really smooth and acceleration is good.
thats why i've been thinking of ways to get my car to have cold air even during hot weather but not sure is it possible.
and was also told to get a CAI.
some friend of mine told me CAI is gimmick and does not help and told me to just do a straight hose from the bumper.
