guys, i dunno about u guys, but i service in 10k interval. using the fully synthetic oil. this is how i arrange my service schedule. the expensive service period is always the 20 and 40 interval. try to split certain parts that need to replace on the 5k interval. for example,

10k fully oil normal service ( excluding air filter and air con filter)
20k fully oil normal service (excluding air filter and air con filter) with cvtf (cvtf adviceble to change every 15-20k)
25k buy air filter from honda and install urself
30k fully oil normal service (excluding air filter and air con filter)
35K change cvtf , buy aircon filter from honda and install urself.
40k major service (excluding fuel filter, air filter, aircon filter , air con service, cvtf)
45k change fuel filter ( no labour charged coz, already paid on 40k service)
50k fully oil normal service WITH air filter
55k air con service & cvtf (excluding air con filter)
60k  fully oil normal service (excluding air filter and air con filter)
65k change air con filter change cvtf
70k  fully oil normal service (excluding air filter and air con filter)
75k buy aircon filter install urself change cvtf
80k same as 40k...and continue

For those who prefer to change cvtf At 40k interval then do it on 35k, 75k. Fuel filter at 45k, 85k. The goal is to pay lesser during 40, 80k major service.

thank a lot for sharing this. if can service @ 10k interval then might not consider service @ unauthorised SC.

QUOTE(orbclyne @ Jun 17 2013, 07:41 PM)
Receive letter from honda on the extension warranty for IMA for  8 years. that is good part. the bad part is subject to fulfillment service according to the schedule at authorized honda .

meaning have to stick back to every 5k interval for the remaining years (until the 8th years) cry.gif

QUOTE(n00b123 @ Jun 18 2013, 09:29 AM)
well...i have been to Kah Motor Puchong and Actmar in Klang...both SC were telling that the maximum distance allowed for would be 5km regardless which type of engine oil opted...I even called up Honda Malaysia and the reply I got was to adhere to the maintenance plan as per the service booklet in order to be eligible for the vehicle warranty coverage...

in the end, i gave up...have been using the SM 0W-20(Fully-Synthetic) engine oil for my car as I felt it gives a better acceleration and FC compared to the other type of Honda engine oil which I have tried before...the service interval is still 5k mad.gif

another question is that whether is it compulsory to change the oil filter every 5k?
I've noticed SC has changed it for me everytime I go for my car service
*
i stayed in puchong as well..... this is really the pain to throw away fully synthetic oil (which can last 10k) @ every 5k.... what a waste....

Well my opinion. Changing oil filter every time when u change oil is good. At least it keep the oil clean and benefits for the engine. Oil filter rm 20-30 it's ok.

My pass experienced when Honda with my previous Honda city. Claiming warranty is through the dealer through the SA, or the manager. U just need to find the right dealer to service ur car. As long u negotiate with them, explain, and they are ok with your self schedule service, the warranty is still there.

A friend of mine managed to replaced her Honda city cvt gear box after warranty expires. Is all depends how u talk to them. But of coz u must be the regular customer of the dealer lah.

Oh let me get this clear guys.
All these are my experience and personal opinion. Do it at your own risk. I'm not Honda Malaysia.

more of a in-between, comfort and firm. I've used Monroe Sensatrac before on my old ride and it was pretty good. Not too firm and not too soft. Taking corners was sweet too. But too bad Sensatrac is no longer in production....

I have changed my rims to 17" sport rims (means heavier), still full tank can go at least 520km at city driving, and 700km highway driving. Genting highland is not an issue, many of us have tried that many time, the power is more than enough to provide.

Dun listen to them, they dun even own a hybrid car but only good at gossip.

Hi mates

I own a FL Insight

Insight full tank Rm 55.

i can go For city drive 600KM which in highway 700km+

dont worry about underpower..you can always off the ECON mode.

and it easily reach 1.6 liter horse power.

yes..IMA Battery it extended to 8 year warranty..from 2011 - 2013 May (Manufactured CBU Model)

well,i dun recommend go for 2nd hand Car..because they are to many Hidden Promble.which you dunno..

i can say it really depend on luck and the previous owner driving habit.

And the Mileage,is it heavy mileage?

but since it still got 2 year warranty on the parts. you still can always keep track on the service book record.

all the best on buying Bro smile.gif
