5W-40 is not suitable for Insight.
Ideally it should be XW-20, or XW-30 at most.
*
since car is more than 5 years old, thought W40 will give more protection to the engine.

whole system should be much more expensive than that. Honda original alarm system is cobra one.
*
so what if cobra brand? You think HM give us best cobra system? Our system dont even have basic feature like immobiliser, boot release and not even panic alarm.

Not even shock sensor, go try knock the windows or kick the car tires.

RM400-500 can get a decent GPS tracker with shock sensor system. HM asking for RM1400 to replace a key. bangwall.gif

the worst ever experience i had was during my visit to Genting 2 months back. When I reached the top of the Genting and about to turn left to the First World Hotel, without doing anything, the car just stop moving even i pedal very hard. Even change gears it does not work at all, still not moving. Finally after I stop the engine start again then it works again.
*
that sound so dangerous. Cannot imagine it lost power transmission while ascending the hill with cars behind you. ohmy.gif

Windscreen crack...again. Found out from PJ windscreen shop that there are 3 options:
1. Warranty claim on windscreen replacement from Japan
2. Ditto 1 but w China part. RM1100 before install + GST
3. Patch - good for cracks <6"

No 3 is out. The crack is up to middle of windscreen. Now thinking of 1 or 2.
*
Huh? can claim warranty for windscreen crack?

Of course can. Any comprehensive insurance covers windscreen. Just that if u claim, u will lose ur NCD like any other claims u made on ur car.

Only exception is that if u got buy additional windscreen cover on top of ur comprehensive insurance, it protects ur NCD if u just claim for windscreen.
*
claim insurance = claim warranty rclxub.gif

Yes I dont get it. How did you end up claim warranty is claiming your own insurance?

Warranty = a written guarantee, issued to the purchaser of an article by its manufacturer, promising to repair or replace it if necessary within a specified period of time.

Insurance = a practice or arrangement by which a company or government agency provides a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return for payment of a premium.

The windscreen coverage is an addendum to the car insurance. The pemium cost 15% of windscreen cost. With that, you'll retain the NCB even if windscreen is cracked else it claims against the insurance thus losing the NCB.
*
You wrote claim warranty. Please refer post #2142

Hence I start to question since when windscreen crack can claim warranty?

In my posts I had clearly stated the procedure for insurance claim. Nothing is even related to warranty[COLOR=red]. This should be common sense. I dun see a reason that it can be confused about.
*
Did my post #2147 asked about claiming insurance? doh.gif
Why are you telling me about insurance? Please read carefully what was my question there, please go read post #2147 every words that I type there.

Anybody installed HID lights for the 2010 model?

Issit significantly better than stock lights? H11
*
I did that 5 years ago. Changed all the halogen/filament bulbs to HID and LED. The only bulbs untouched are the high beam.
I wouldn't say the improvement is big, just slightly better. Maybe coz mine is 35W HID. Guess the 55W will be brighter. Cosmetic wise yes definitely much better than those yellowish halogen.

Added courtesy lights too.

I also installed original leather trim for the steering wheel and Hella Supertone (I love these horn super high pitch and ear blasting). Both bought from USA.
