Looking at Rooney and Valencia's performance today, no wonder SAF was shouting "I wanna sign Ronaldo back at United!"

CR7 for a reported 120 million. sweat.gif

i'll rather buy 2-3 good players than splashing that kind of money for 1 player.

well today our right side and Valencia is completely exposed simply because our RB is not Rafael...the effect of him not in the team is just like missing Carrick in CM...

Robin van Persie: Man Utd striker lucky to be alive - Ferguson

QUOTE
Sir Alex Ferguson says Robin van Persie is "lucky to be alive" after being hit in the head by a ball struck by Ashley Williams in the 1-1 draw with Swansea.
As the referee blew the whistle for a foul, Van Persie was lying on the ground when Williams kicked the ball from a couple of yards away.Ferguson felt Van Persie was fortunate to escape serious injury.
"Robin van Persie is lucky to be alive. It was a disgraceful act from their player," he told BBC Sport."He should be banned by the FA. Robin could have had a broken neck."

The United manager said Williams had deliberately aimed the ball at Van Persie, who reacted furiously and was also cautioned by referee Michael Oliver.
Ferguson added on Sky Sports: "With the Van Persie situation, you can clearly see that he could have been killed.
"He should be banned for a long time because that was the most dangerous thing I've seen on a football field for many years.

"It was absolutely deliberate. The whistle has gone, the game has stopped and he has done that right in front of the referee, he could have killed the lad."It was a disgraceful act by the player,
he should be banned for a long time."  Speaking before Ferguson, Williams attempted to play down his confrontation with Van Persie. He told BBC Sport: "I just cleared the ball with frustration and unfortunately it hit him in the head and he got a bit angry about it"Everything got a bit heated but it was all right in the end."

I was completely jumped off my chair and feels like wanna give him a smack in the face. I was relieved RVP could still handle his temper, not many people would be able to do that.

ABUs will be silent for now since almost all of them keep getting dubious penalties and -supposedly ruled out- goals and they'll scream Ferguson Association again and again in future as if they're the one got bullied by system lol

The 'clearance' from williams looked intentional and that flores guy kicked out at van persie before he lunged at williams. Could understand hes frustration there. Freaking unprofessional kicking at your opponent like that.

On our side, our finishing really Let us down. Young should have done better with his chance from carricks wonder pass. Not a bad result considering how swansea played. We've seen worse.

It looked intentional because it was after the whistle had blown. After seeing the replays I was frankly relieved that RVP jumped to his feet in anger rather than being knocked out flat on the ground.
