Haiz...yesterday after rain wanna go out dinner start car -->tak, .....-->tak....., off and turn ignition again -->tak....., -->tak..... doh.gif
Fucuk battery dead ,,,last running the car 3hour before everything look good and no sign for battery dead at all.

Due to Sunday night there where no workshop or spare parts shop still in business, jump start the car will not help if not getting a new battery, so decided to call insurance Etiqa autoassits, they only have Century Marathoner DIN55 as they said original DIN45 only can get at proton because DIN45 1 year warranty normal is produce to car assembly line, dealer or non authorise workshop will sell DIN55, and it cost RM330 !!!!!.....and include sell back the old battery !!!!! this battery selling outside the most are RM250 but hell they charge over price of RM80 vmad.gif

sad.gif i'm no choice because it happen at the night and have to agree the price moneyflies.gif cry.gif ...... and they come to change in 30min time, the mechanic said DIN45 and DIN55 are same size just the Ah (ampere hour) different DIN45 with 45Ah and DIN55 with 55Ah, which means it is more power and warranty is 18 month, so DIN45 with less power and 1 year warranty is for automotive manufacturer cost down the car price use.

Before he change he try to star my car but still fail to crank, then he connect the battery test c/w jump star function equipment, then start my car marvelous the car crank and start successful, and the equipment can check and tell our charging system as well, mine car charging system and alternation are still in good condition so conclude my lasting 2 year battery is dead.

He loosing the terminal screw on both polarity terminal and take out the terminal from battery, after disconnect the battery, the alarm will beep 2~3 second (beep no horn) + all door auto lock shocking.gif look like the alarm system has stored some energy for 2~3 second shocking.gif , DIN type battery is really for easy installation just take out one screw and bracket the battery can be remove, but must use the long neck wrench only can reach the battery bracket.

When the first reconnection to the new battery the alarm straight go sound beep + horn use remote to reset the alarm, during the mechanic connect back the batter my VS make and normal respond with spark that frighten the mechanic and he hang for few second until I said it is normal as VS capacitor taking charge and the job done in just around 5min for the whole checking and replacement process. All the meter info are reset except the ODO mile age remain, when firs turn on my HU prompt to insert the security code, lucky I still remember my code sweat.gif all player configuration are reset to default.

Like mentioned a few threads ago, it is wet battery disguised to look like dry battery laugh.gif
*
no, all MF battery in local are made in sealed lead acid means in is mantenance free but got water, totally dry batter are not suitable for tropical environment malaysia it will dead more faster due to over heat. A good manintenance free battery will minimise the lost of electrolite (battery water) by design the battery cover channel back the vapor inside the battery container and also the best sealing of the batter cap to ensure the water lost are minimal, thats why they seal the batter cap by sticker not allowed others ppl to open, once open the cap not fastern back properly the water will lost due to vaporise.
