That is not aggressive, that is being hyper active. He has too much energy so he released it in such a big boost that he made all those antics.

QUOTE(jdreamer @ Mar 7 2006, 10:47 PM) Alright.. But I prefer him to release it bit by bit. Release it in one shot is abit too aggresive for me. Owh yea, he scratched my legs until bleeding. When he was charging to the slippers, I quickly took it away then he used his nails to scratch me. Your puppy is young, it is hyper lah.... Very normal with all puppies. All you need is training. I suggest you find a website on dog training or buy a book on it. Really helps a lot.I'll try my best. Anyway, I brought him for vacination today. Need to feed him the deworm tablet tomorrow. A bit worried about it. A dog or puppy won't know what hurts you. Coz in nature, they play rough to excercise the muscle and skill. So of course to us is like hurting us lah. But you gotta understand, a puppy won't know the difference. |

Will struggle one lah.... Not all dogs will let you open their mouths. To make your dog know you are alpha, then control him, don't always manja manja him. It will become a problem whem older.
The open mouth and stick pill not only vet says. EVERY DOG CARE GUIDE BOOK says.... |

Tear Stains removers aren't effective. Sorry lah but maltese will sure have tear stains wan.... you gotta clean the fur around the eyes with cotton and warm water every day twice a day. Then the stain will lessen.

QUOTE(sleepwalker @ Apr 6 2006, 10:28 AM) Anyone know where I can get female maltese? I know I can look for them in petshops but it is not like looking for a can of sardines. They only come in batches and most the time the shops don't 'stock' them. I want to get one for a friend. Should try call MKA and get some numbers. My friend did that and he got a beautiful maltese for only RM1.5k and it came with cert also.... Or was it RM1.2k... can't remember.... but cheaper than a petshop that was selling RM2.5k and the health of the puppy was good, better than petshop. |

QUOTE(sleepwalker @ Apr 6 2006, 11:05 PM) Sorry.. I'm a car enthusiast but unfortunately don't know much about doggies. My friend is crazy about Maltese but she wants a female. Yeah.. pet store prices are crazy, even rundown looking stores are selling them for RM2.2K. I will see what I can do with MKA. Can I just call them up and ask them for breeder info? They'd just release it to me? Would it be better if I just pay them a visit in TTDI (found MKA website contact) and get the contacts from them? I always prefer face to face contact instead of just anonymously calling on the phone. You can try... face to face.... you won't get much. Coz MKA only will provide you the phone numbers. So far that's all I got from calling. Names and numbers. They don't do background research on the breeders. It would be better to get the numbers, call them and sort of have a phone interview with the breeders. Normally good breeders will love to talk to you about the breed, while puppy mills/breeders(those that breed many many breeds) will not talk much. Even if talk also, can find some lose ends.....Thanks for the info. Try and find a breeder that only specialise in Maltese. That's the best. |
