Dengeki Playstation Review for AKB149: Ren ai Sousenkyo is out. with my limited Japanese, I put out a bit of my summary after reading it.

- allow sorting by member's group when browsing your contact list of 149 members
- Start button brings out a quick view of members profile at anytime, contains information like birthday or anniversary
- instead of random shopping mall, Cafe, restaurant and beach as date spots(as in previous games), the shooting for this game took place in real world landmark. for example, dating a girl from HKT48 will take place in famous landmarks/tourist attraction in Hakata. Kashiwagi Yuki is the tourism ambassador for 鹿児島 thus your date will took place in the tourist spot there
- (gulp) praises how good the girl looks over PSVita's screen
- Contains stat tracking, you can view profile of a girl to learn whether you dated this girl before, this feature was not present in previous game
- the "Stare" feature has been improve, in previous game, while you can zoom in to stare on particular parts of the body, that do not trigger a reaction most of the time. the reviewer gives an example. When dating Akarin, she shows off her newly bought dress, you can zoom in to focus on her dress, then she will respond with "hey, look at me too!!!".
- when you are dating a member, another member which have good relationship with this member may show up in the event, things that member encountered in real life were referenced in the game, when you are in a good relationship with a member, other members who are close to her(mostly from the same group) will be friendly too you as well, when you hurt one of them, other member's relationship rating may take a dip as well, all these were present, and done very well in previous game too.
- new "Performance Event" where you view a stage performance from regular customer perspective, according to the review the experience were recreated very well, I will have to wait to see that

erm, the battery indicator will still indicates that it is full even you play it for 1.5 hours from a full charge. but that doesn't mean it is really full

if you are charging via computer USB port, the LED and battery icon will not indicate that it is charging when the Vita is turned on.


for me, charging using the wall plug took about 2 hours(I usually put it to charge when the battery icon indicates that it is half full. rarely lower than that). about 4 hours when using computer USB.

to be fair, it is more of SE's effort to experiment with new battle system, unlike many other games which simply rehashes the same gameplay with minor changes. it is more of an upgrade from FF12's system.

oh the game is fully voiced, as in terms of gameplay, this game is very barebone even if compared with other dating sims, though with 149 girls, it definitely offers a lot of replayability if this type of game is your cup of tea. when I play the previous game, I count not more than 5 out of all the 48 girls that I feel annoyed when going through their scenario(annoying personality of the girls). else most are interesting.

though you would appreciate the game more if you are a fan.

Edit: I can understand Japanese supplanted by reading, like this game, I need to read the text to reassure what I hear, else my listening alone not quite good.

oh if you want plat, Resistance Burning Skies is an easy plat

there is one online trophy (complete 1 online match or something like that), but you don't actually have to complete it. when I got it, I was joining an online game, it was still loading then I got dc in the middle of the loading and the trophy pops. lol

NA PSN now supports Paypal, for whatever good it does
