I think Master in Biz Admin will do you good... I know a lot of ppl owns an MBa these days but with MBa, it gives u some knowledge about business world which u dun know about.

Meanwhile you already work as civil engineer la, take the masters somemore for what? Take the experience lah!

i rather stick to my opinion that master will boost up my salary in a short range of time ...especially for CONSULTANT...before end up opening our own garage..

depends on your career intention.

as you said, you wanted to oepn your own consultancy firm ma? then you shd go for professional certifications, and get a PE status. this is valuable and practical for your businesses.

enginering and other types of prof consultancy will definitely require certifications and institutional recognition.

MBA is great if you intend to work. yes, it will certainly boost your salary and status quo.

btw, imho, all masters are great, and it has monetary values to you too, if you can utilise it.

good luck.

If you want to stay in the technical line, then you take a Master in Engineering. Your salary will be different from your current and you may be promoted for a more senior position.

If you want to go to the management side such supervisor or manager of a technical department or beyond that, you should take MBA.

I got consider to do my MBA too ... biggrin.gif
