Err..I meant you need to install Google Search updates first. Inside that update contains Google Now.
Or take the easier way..do a factory reset.

You're a right hander is it..?
For a right hander (default setting) the screen right hand side is less sensitive thus avoiding your palm detected while you writing.
You can change the SPen setting to left hander if that make you feel or write better.

Yes..the files is small but not 6.4kb.
Should be 12MB inside zip and 17MB unzip into .tar files
