Good day ,

I wanna know the 2nd hand price of this bike , and what are the main difference between this and kawasaki ninja 250 other than the speed .

Are the maintenance fees of this bike very expensive ? As expensive as a car ?

What is the top speed of the bike ?

I have very little experience in bike , do bike experience major breakdown like car whereby you need Rm 1k or so to repair ?

And most important , how is the size compared to ninja 250 ? According to the pictures I see on the net both are almost identical , but I doubt so , please tell me is Ninja 150 smaller in size ?

Please provide me the information if you have any . Feel free to tell me more about this bike .

running on 2 stroke engine. ninja 250 is 4 stroke.
2 stroke maintenance slight higher than 4 stroke. 2 stroke uses 2T oil once every two week for the krr.

no. is cheaper running than car. fulltank for krr can around rm12-15 ringgit can run 300km.

the price probably around 4k-6k depending on years,...some newer years can 7k-8k

Hmm 170 - 190 ? A 125zr could outrun me with just a little tuning . ohmy.gif

And the size comparison between ninja 150 and ninja 250 ? Is the size exactly the same ?

yup, thats stock speed! ....is enough for u from a to b.

ninja 250 is 170kg while the krr is only 120kg. so size comparison by just looking at sight, probably the same.

power of these both. krr is better coz the existen of power valving on engine, something like v-tec boost

So the different is just the weight ? In terms of outlook and size both are exactly the same right ? I only notice the different in the exost pipe.

Wow so Krr is actually faster due to the better technology used ?

250 is definitely bigger in sight. krr is an outdated tech engine that run carburettors but supply enormous power but is an air pollutant engine. its fast due to lightweight also. krr 150cc 2 stroke stock power is equivalent to 300cc 4 stroke stock.

2012 250 ninja also a better hensem looking bike.

i think u better understand 1st the different between 4stroke and 2stroke engine. they are at very different league. there are pro and contra for both type of engine. and u should consider your driving style also. if u dont have much knowledge about bike better take 4stroke which is less maintenance.

4stroke vs 2stroke

I have full understanding of how 2 stroke function , you see I'm riding Suzuki RGV which is a 2 stroke bike as well .

You don't really have to dream actually , the 1st hand of this bike cost only about 9.5k

A 5-6 year 2nd hand one maybe 5-6 can get dy , cost just as much as a LC 135.

-you can check the market price for a second hand krr

-depends on bike condition , i got mine less than a year , second selling rm6700

-service will slight more expensive than your current - more expensive tyre , chain , use better 2t oil~~

-top speed tried 180kmh for standard -GPS is 150 +-

-full trottle from kl-sban no problem *friend tried kl-penang full trottle.. just stop for petrol

-is a fast bike , cheaper maintenance than any 250r , pickup can win 250r =)

-2t is super save. 1000km for 1 L - 3 times lesser than ur current RGV 2t consumption

A little off topic. Can a short person (around 5 ft tall / 152cm) ride this bike? Is the seat very high from the ground?

OMG 152 cm ?Might be a little difficult for you to maneuver the bike considering the size of it . I'm 168-170 cm and I'm already worried about it .

Change gesr at higher rpm to enjoy the full benefit of the power valve.
But keep in mind to take good care of it, it is damn reliable but dude...

True, if thieves want to steal, nothing much we can do. My friend just managed to prevent her van from been taken away by a tow truck, the tow people say never pay, so they wanna repossess it, but when challenged to provide documentation, they quickly cabut. They were just car thieves. Too bad she was too shocked to note down their number plate, which was probably fake anyway.

Stealing bike very easy for them, just bring van or small lorry, put the bike in and off they go. sad.gif Doesn't matter how many locks we have.

2nd hand price can see mudah.my or join the group in facebook

maintenance is way cheaper than car
standard can go up to 180 and still can go further but road condition and motor weight cant allow you too..
hardly get major breakdown unless accidents la
same height as 250 but weight is lighter

just buy it, but remember,
1. hot bike
2. usage maintenance is still affordable, fuel is consider ok compared to its power, dont compare to kapcai..
3. 4t no need worry much, 2t oil lasts about 1000km, (cost wise consider same as using 4t bike la, they still need to change oil monthly what)
4. top speed is enough at kampung and city road. (proven can go 200kmh on its meter with pillion, maybe gps is 170kmh only)
5. parts are not cheap, especially engine part.. so, better u buy 1st hand, as u dont know what the 1st owner did to the bike.. maybe got jammed once, u dunno lol...
6. fyi, the original CDI is RM1.4k... so, if kena sebat, rugi gila..

my friend bought a second running 16k and now reaching 25k..

still running strong.

just use better/more expensive 2t oil.

no, 10000km or ten thousand km,
should do at least top overhaul..

two strokes nature, the performance will degrade faster than four strokes bike..
the exhaust also need to be clean, because of "tahi minyak 2t"..

Added on November 30, 2012, 5:55 pmkips got powervalve,
so it is important, every 10000km, the powervalve also need to be polished back..

sebabnya, carbon build up..

btw, u can use it without servicing until 100000000km also can,
but, dont complain if powervalve jam, engine run very slow...

up to u.. lol..

the rm300-400 maybe is top overhaul..
top overhaul is just polish the head, change piston ring, etc... nothing major la..

what i say is cost of parts is expensive, that's why alot of kips got stolen..
so, better take care of it well lah, jangan biar orang curi..

some that i know, the cylinder block, is rm1000, and the cdi is rm1400..

2. u asked for other models since u asked abt cbr150, but then u chicken out cos i say cbr maintenence is more costly..

Sorry to me kips rempit bike. Thats how i see them. Hate 2t bikes due to Their mosquito sound and their freaking white smoke. But then again, depends on the buyer or lover of the bike. U like u buy.

But then again back to ur question, depends on type of nature for the bike. Everyday use, show off, performance or interest on the bike.

Have u tried sitting or ride the bike you want to buy? If not, I suggest you to do so. Whether if its a 125, 250, 2T, 4T - it all depends on your budget and personal preferences such like its aesthetics.

Personally, I enjoy riding bikes. Have with me a KSR110, 2013 ZX6R 636 & 2011 Z1000. All bikes gives me different riding experience.

Breakdowns - all mechanical parts tends to wear and tear. If you are like me who does not know anything about mechanical parts - get a trusty mechanic to sort things out.

Maintenance - very relative. But a sub 250cc bikes, it is almost half the cost of what you are paying for a car. For bigger cc bikes, it is 1:1

Top speed - for a zx150. No idea, but i suppose a 150km/h from a stock bike?

Size - Between the 150 & 250, 250 looks bigger due to the fairings & engine.

Last but not least, quite a number of zx150 & 250 running around. Should not be hard for you to test ride one. My Z1000 is up for sale if you want...

running on 2 stroke engine. ninja 250 is 4 stroke.

*
KRR 2t 1liter can travel for 1.2k km on 120km/h.
maintainance will more cheaper than 4t,
4t bike come with valve, 2t has no valve.
4tbike need change EO around 3k milage, 2t bike can travel around 5k only change eo.
2tbike easy maintanance.
krr 2nd hand value around 7k-8k 2008 abv version. 2003-2007 version u can get less than 5k. i prefer u get new..u know la..krr mostly kaki rembat sweat.gif sweat.gif

top speed 170-190km/h depending on rider weights.
overhaul engine only rm200-300 at sentul, kl. thats the cheapest to date.
*
krr topspeed that i have been tested, krr speedo 210km/k
gps speedo 200+- km/h
will say bye bye to 250..

*
KRR engine is old tech with carb.

EFI= save fuel
Carb = More power.

i dont think krr is an air pollutant engine. morning warm up will have some smoke, but after warm up there have no smoke..mayb some poor guy using 2t kelapa sawit.

no, 10000km or ten thousand km,
should do at least top overhaul..

two strokes nature, the performance will degrade faster than four strokes bike..
the exhaust also need to be clean, because of "tahi minyak 2t"..

Added on November 30, 2012, 5:55 pmkips got powervalve,
so it is important, every 10000km, the powervalve also need to be polished back..
sebabnya, carbon build up..
btw, u can use it without servicing until 100000000km also can,
but, dont complain if powervalve jam, engine run very slow...

up to u.. lol..
*
this is what all pomen told us.. of cos all 2stoke or 2 stoke will degrade..

but one point i agree is 2stoke tahi byk mang.. compare to 4stoke..

But i believe krr is a budget bike .. we choice krr because cant affort 250 but dont want to ride kapcai..

how many krr rider can actually do overhaul every 10k.. some even 2T minyak pun pakai murah je.. sweat.gif

i didnt mention cost of overhaul in my posts..
the rm300-400 maybe is top overhaul..
top overhaul is just polish the head, change piston ring, etc... nothing major la..

what i say is cost of parts is expensive, that's why alot of kips got stolen..
so, better take care of it well lah, jangan biar orang curi..

some that i know, the cylinder block, is rm1000, and the cdi is rm1400..
*
betul.. one of the reason why krr very hot bike.. wanna ride krr cant even do normal service.. better they sitck with rxz la..

got any place recommend for minor service?
