Gonna send my car for the first 1k service this Sunday. Didn't know they're open on Sunday for car servicing. However, according to the guy who answered my call earlier, he said on Sundays and Public Holidays, they only do normal servicing. If need the technicians to check your car on any complaints that you have, they'll only do it on other days except Sundays and Public Holidays.

Anyone tried sending their car for servicing on Sundays and Public Holidays before?
*
They open 365 days per year even Hari Raya or CNY also open.
Mon - Sat need to do advance booking, Sun walk in only.
But Sun do expect long queue........ sweat.gif

Serviced my first 1000km yesterday. Total damage is RM88 only. Waiting time was 1.5 hours as I made appointment. Complained about the vibration noise sound at exhaust. No noise after service but it came back after I drove for about 20mins. This is shitty man...

The vibration noise is when the exhaust hit the bodykit?
If yes, i only noticed once when I start my car in the morning last 2 days, the exhaust vibrate a lot, and it hit the bodykit for about 1 minute, then it gone when the engine stabilized.
*
Not hitting the BK, just seems like from the muffler itself.
Will go bck for them to check and I will complaint! mad.gif

How it sounds like?  hmm.gif
Very loud and obvious, can be hear from inside?
*
It's like GRR...GRRR.... and can hear from inside. Try to start the engine, dun drive, let the engine run in P or N and try to accelerate a bit. U will notice it. It seems like most of Almera got this prob.

hey guys... i'm considering an almera, but the talk about only 1 coat of paint and the paint easily chipping off sounds quite scary.

also, wondering whether the fact that the seats are not collapsible pose a problem?
*
Dun believe in hear say, visit the SC and ask them directly and see it for yourself man.

Should I send it for my 1,000/1 month service now or wait 2 more weeks to reach 1 month service?
Actually do we follow the mileage or the months?
*
My adv, to play safe and avoid warranty claim dispute service before it reaches 1000km.
Anything happen to your car and you wanna claim for warranty they can dispute saying your 1st service was over 1000km. Doesn't look likely to happen but, in this world everything is in black and white that matters.

I sent mine when it reached 960km. Just my 2 cents opinion. icon_rolleyes.gif

Just tilt it using your hand. Do it every morning  for 3 days. Compared to the pic, mine is more oriented to the left (counter-clock wise). So, I bend it slightly right (clock wise) every morning for 3 days before I start car, around 1 min. The sound gone until now. I too went for SC to fix in my 1st 1k svc.

TC should chg this design. They shouldn't skimp on this.
*
I checked mine, also bend to the left. The nut connet the muffler touching the side so it creates the noise...
Will get them to do it, not gonna DIY as I paid for it man...

will be getting my car on Friday, anything i need to put more attention when collecting the car? first time getting new car
*
Bring a fren or two to help u check every corner. Check body paint, bumper see whether got scretches, tyres see if new, petrol full tank? All lights, horn, open bonnet, fuel cap, trunk.

Most importantly is...... let the engine run for about 5 mins and see whether the exhaust pipe got noise or not. many people hv this prob myself included. But ald got it fixed at SC.

Thanks for the input, just start engine and let it idle right?
*
Yes, accelerate a bit... let the exhaust pipe vibrate and see whether the nut connecting the pipe and muffler is touching or not. It shouldn't be touching as it will create Grrr...Grrr... sound.

Many people kena already! sweat.gif
