QUOTE(Rubz77 @ Nov 17 2012, 12:12 PM) I changed mine back in Feb. I told the SC abt the rear metallic sound and they said they'll check on it. The sound reduced to a faint after that. Kluk-kluk sound disappeared for about 7 months or so...now that's back too and the metallic rear sound is back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVgJZoRKigI&feature=relmfuI'm just ignoring it for now. Added on November 17, 2012, 12:14 pm How's the after effect of the rape ? Added on November 17, 2012, 12:17 pm Hmmm...maybe some metal components knocking into each other. |

QUOTE(XCInspire @ Nov 17 2012, 01:05 PM) Treat ur cvt belt with care... its after all a rubberband. You can use paddle shifts but try do not use it for 'engine braking'.. if wheel spinning faster than engine, the rubberband will suddenly stretch... There is a protection built in if case you accidentally try to downshift to a very low gear when crusing at high speed, it will emit a warning beep and will not downshift. thanks bro, suspecting the same, it means that the bush is failing? but the problem is, multilink suspension banyak link la... Vice versa if u try to turbo charge ur engine, a sudden boost of torque from the engine will snap the belt (like what u see in the pic, the one in that container is the belt and its metal cuffs). Our local 'racing' workshop has blown at least 2 cvt gb in their quest to turbo charge a 2.0cvt. Latest I hear is someone still trying to install a very low boost turbo (but whats the point?). ckk, the sound if only appear if kena water is quite likely the bushing grease mixed with water will create such metal to metal sound like what some others suggest. Its like that notorious waja link that squeeks when it fails. |

QUOTE(ryanso85 @ Nov 17 2012, 04:24 PM) I think i m having the same problem, passenger rear side. icic...not from heat shield...i put a padding in between heat shield and car body, still have sound.Found the sound mostly in the morning going through the bumps, and during raining days, especially these days... i only change stopper before i found out the problem, thought it is the bush. Last week went to world car care (proton sri petaling), changed all 4 bushes, and the problem still the same next morning. went for second time joint inspection with the mechanics, still cannot find the source of the problem, they advise me send to COE. after that, changed to R3 spring instead, confirm the sound is still there, since the sound is not permanent, sometime is there, sometime whack bumps totally no sound...drive my crazy until now... i suspect it comes from bush/suspension mounting/muffler heat shield........ yours persists throughout the day or only in morning? |
