Wonder is the Spice Stellar Horizon Mi-500 is similar to this Mercury.

The spec is about the same.

and comparison with samsung note 2 as well

it's not the same the way i see it, even though they're similar, but actually entirely two different phone.

first and foremost, the processor. The indian was 1GHz dual core, where ours was 1.2GHz dual core.

second, the placement of everything is different between the indian and ours, indicating that the internals was also different.

third, there is actually CSL mi-500 some time ago running on MT6573 650Mhz processor with 5 inch screen. it was horrible to be honest. doh.gif so they cannot use the "mi-500" anymore. that'll confuse us consumer.

CSL Mi500 was not actually a CSL phone. Refer to this link for the truth.

The phones in the picture are the fake Mi500 and a fake CSL tablet called the Mi701.

Didn't CSL came out with a statement that Mi500 and Mi700 is not their product?
*
yea, saw that announcement too

the thing is tho, why would anyone mass produce and then sell fakes under the name 'CSL', i can't brain lar rclxub.gif
if 'Samseng' or anything else is understandable, but CSL?

try this: MSM8225 used by single SIM phone, whereas MSM8225A used by dual SIM phone. other than that they're entirely same thing, no such thing as performance improvement.

problem?

]Just wanted to ask you guys something. Do you prefer phones with 8-32 GB internal storage but no MicroSD or phones that support MicroSD cards? Because now more and more phones have no MicroSD card slots, and I wondered if I was the only one who disliked this.

8GB - no
16GB - acceptable
32GB - perfect

i have phone with 8gb rom and a tablet with 16gb rom, but the way they implement is kinda different.

first the 8gb one, which implement like most androids in the market right now. 2GB for apps only and 4GB for the rest of the files. i find this not enough so i have another 16gb microsd card plugged in, which is a big help (my mp3 file need to be at least 320kbps).

second the 16gb one, which implement the nexus way of storage - all in one. you get full 14++gb of storage, and no microsd card slot. this is acceptable but there is one time i have to decide which game to uninstall due to running out of storage space.

my take? 32GB w/o microSD slot. microsd gives the freedom of how many storage you want but the read/write performance just wouldn't cut it. even with sandisk ultra class 10 still not match with the speed of internal storage. i don't need that much storage on phone, because if i want to store a lot of stuff i store them in my desktop. the phone's battery life was like average 8 hour with average usage, and i don't think i can consume content more than 32gb within that 8 hour time.

Don't hold your breath too long bro, or rather put your hope too high. The GPU is not that great and it going to have to power the resolution of that high. In the end, something has to give. Anyway, it is indeed a good spec at a good price.

agree. there has been a quite significant improvement (processing power) on mediatek's chip back from 6573, 6575 and current 6577. Sadly they still stick with the powervr sgx531 since 6573. as long as the resolution do not exceed 800x480 you'll be fine.

LOL, the resolution is 1280x720. Should be fine tongue.gif

hopefully.
the thing is, from what i saw myself: the BP2's nenamark 2 is around 27~28fps, while the Stealth2's score is 25~26fps. that's only like 54 extra vertical pixels (25,920 total px) makes about 2fps difference. both have the same spec: mt6577 1ghz dual core with powervr sgx531 gpu.
