i jus tbought humblebundle for android 7 usd for a whole lot of games. btw I notice something. the official ice cream linux kernel is suppose to be 3.0.1 and when jelly bean came out officially. the kernel used was 3.0.31 which is our mi501's version. what an odd coincident? no? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_versi..._Cream_SandwichThe SDK for Android 4.0.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich), based on Linux kernel 3.0.1,[56] was publicly released on 19 October 2011. Google announced Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) at the Google I/O conference on 27 June 2012. Based on Linux kernel 3.0.31

QUOTE(Cranky guy @ Nov 23 2012, 04:26 PM) All google apps that I have used run smoothly. GPS locks on in a maximum of 9 seconds. Usually less. The screen resolution is 800X480. I have used this wonderful phone for a few days now. I don't think I have notice it restarted before. Which is really a miracle compare to the phones I have used before. Thanks to csl for not screwing around with the OS.

I found 1 problem with my mi501.
when I connect a earphone to it. The sound comes out muffled. Like my earphone's diafragm is broken.
but my earphone is fine when I pluck it to the pc. So must be the phone's earphone connection or something
anyone else have this problem?

QUOTE(Cranky guy @ Nov 23 2012, 11:20 PM) No, I do not have this problem, with the in box handsfree or my (fake) Beats. What kind of earphones are you using? I use the earphone from my previous csl mi410 phone. I get this problem. but I try the earphone that cames with the mi501 in the box. I don't get the problem. Hmmm....all earphones should be the same...

QUOTE(Cranky guy @ Nov 24 2012, 03:52 PM) Try bringing your phone to a CSL Servce Center. They should know what to do. strange fact. I plug the earphone that came with the mi501 in to my computer. It was strange. the dialogue was very soft and the background sound was normal. As if the earphone is suppose to be use in a sorround system. may be. I don't know much about sound system. but if you lookat the fact that normal earphone is screwy when plug into the mi501. but works normal when plug to the pc. and the mi501 earphone is screwy when plug to the pc and works normal when plug to the mi501. it means both mi501 and the mi501 earplug is using some kind of sorround system standards? I'm guessing. any thoughs?
