yes, my phone is original SME and its already 4.1.1 long time ago.. What is your definition of overcharge? I normally charge my phone from 10/20% > 100% and leave it there for like maybe 1/2 hours after it finished charging..

and sometimes when im out, i use USB tethering for quite long and the phone is also charged 100% and still connected to usb for very long
