Dear travel sifus,

Four of us plan to go into Singapore on the 11th and 12th of May, which is a Sunday and Monday.

The main reason for our visit is to see Universal Studios.

We have a few questions for all you travel gurus and especially those who have experienced Singapore first hand.

1) Should we drive into Singapore or should we use public transportation?

Please keep in mind issues like convenience and expenses and that there will be four of us. Will there be much traffic in Singapore? Will expenses for parking, toll etc add up to travelling by public transport for all four of us?

2) Should we stay in Singapore or should we instead stay in Johore?

So far from what we see, a decent room in Singapore starts off at about 400RM and we dont need something so expensive as we plan to be out all day.

3) Besides Universal Studios we are also thinking of getting a "deal" on groupon for visit to places such as Singapore Flyer ride, Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon, River cruise and 6D XD Motion Ride Theatre Experience.

Will this be enough considering the 2 days 1 night stay we are planning? Or should we consider doing something else (suggestions pleasee).
