QUOTE(freaz @ Nov 13 2012, 06:39 AM) I'm loving this new ECU/TCU. Better pickup and i can maintain rev below 2k for city drive. Highway 120km/h only 2.5k rev. FC also very good. last time my best fc is 8.5L/100km. now can get 7.6L/100km Very good FC wor. Will ask for remapping during the 10k service.QUOTE(rich8833 @ Nov 13 2012, 07:59 AM) is your windscreen solved? Yup, new windscreen being replaced but without the ecotint. Now making noise to ICare to claim for the ecotint which cost 3k for it. |

QUOTE(edwinkbs @ Nov 14 2012, 07:41 PM) I didn't have firestorm yet. Just thinking no need to buy if not really much difference after new mapping. Wanted to know if i wanted to buy then need keep taking out or not if go sc. I also thinking to get one but after heard that the new remapping is out & all feedback are not bad...so now will wait for remapping on next service then only decide. |

Just back from SC at setapak branch, few things requested at job sheet:-
1) 10k service, with engine oil Shell 5w40 (no 5w30 available at this SC). Done. FREE labour cost. 2) Respray at exhaust hanger. Done. 3) Check the "glu glu glu" sound at front both side power window. Greese applied. 4) ECU/TCU remapping. NO ECU/TCU reflash at this branch yet. May go COSE to reflash the ECU/TCU remapping one day. |

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Nov 19 2012, 05:30 PM) Forgot to comment before wewanwang bro Yeah, a bit disappointed when heard no ECU/TCU reflash. I guess alignment machine been installed just recently and I asked for free alignment this morning the SA said only before 1k only entitle for it...adui, I said last time during 1k service your alignment machine not ready yet. At last, no alignment being done la. But, luckily last time I did the alignment for free at COSE Kinda frustrated to hear that Setapak 3S centre didn't have the new TCU/ECU remap yet. BTW, has the Allignment machine been installed there when u went there few days ago? It's been 1/2 year edy. I think will go COSE tomorrow to update the ECU/TCU, also to check for my wind screen ecotint claim status...totally no update from ICare. |

After that I made an appointment with Proton Edar Puchong this Thursday morning to update the ECU/TCU. Err..nope. Just request to update the ECU/TCU will not take long time right?? Anyone can confirm how long it will take for reflash the ECU/TCU? |

QUOTE(kongyw @ Nov 19 2012, 10:00 PM) that's the correct address and they told me the earliest for me is this Thursday. Think it's better you call any of the Proton Edar service centers first to ask if they perform the remapping and make appointment with them instead of just showing up without one. You know, to avoid the hassle and disappointment. Okay, thanks. Of course I always try to call the SC to make appointment before I go. I have to go COSE tomorrow anyway just to look for the person in charge at ICare, need to FUCUK them about my ecotint. So, no harm to try if can reflash the ECU/TCU. |

Morning guys, I having the breakfast, curry puffs & coffee, now at COSE. I arrived here at 7.20am and managed to slot in to ask for ECU/TCU update.
My car is in service bay now and the technician is working on it, but too bad cannot enter the service bay to see what they doing. At setapak branch, I can go to service bay and talk to the technician. I also managed to meet up the person in charge of ICare, complaint about my ecotint. Again, the guy said need to refer his boss & other departments...damn. |

QUOTE(ryuken74 @ Nov 20 2012, 09:30 AM) Yup, is free at customer waiting area. Long story about my ecotint. In summary, noticed my car wind screen having a big crack line during the service at COSE; complaint to ICare and took almost 1 or 2 months time only managed to replace a new wind scree. However, that wind screen installed without the ecotint. So, again have to chase from ICare, 3 months passed still no news. Thats why I purposely come to COSE today. Added on November 20, 2012, 10:04 amWoahh, my car ready to collect. Will update review later. Cheers. This post has been edited by wewanwang: Nov 20 2012, 10:04 AM |

QUOTE(archiq @ Nov 20 2012, 05:50 PM) Puchong SC.. they will do only when u ask for it.. even when ur car chassis number is affected (based on service bulletin) Opps, I also having the same the right wiper touching the frame but I did not mention it...i though is normal done serviced my abby for 10k yesterday... things that i complained: - 1. seat "krekk krekk" at backrest - they only apply grease, summore saying that other preve also the same.. 2. RH wiper touching body frame - adjusted. 3. headlamp settings - adjusted 4. power window switch sometimes malfunction on driver power window only - they only reaffix the socket only, last time reaffix socket still the same.. 5. air-cond whistling sound when in medium speed - they say campro engine air-cond will always got that whistling sound??? do nothing.. forgot about the ECU remapping until 1 hour later then telling him to do it.. if not, they simply just keep quiet only.. Do your power window got "glu glu glu" sound when pressing down during the hot day? SC just applied grease but they mentioned if happen again they will change the part. Today afternoon, tried the power window still having "glu glu glu" sound. Do you guys also having the same sound?? I did the ECU/TCU remapping this morning at COSE, very fast about 1 hour settled. So far cannot comment much, just feel the POWER like inspira, very responsive...have to adapt the new settings again. |

Will ask SC to check again next time.Added on November 20, 2012, 7:21 pm the power window "glu glu" sound cannot be solved by just applying grease or watever crap..they need to disemble the whole door panel and adjust something or change something...i manage to solved mine in cose last week..saw them taking off the whole door panel..now working like charm..last time asked around in forum and the only answer i got is apply silicone spray..which is bullshit.. QUOTE(allenultra @ Nov 20 2012, 10:10 PM) I remember.....around RM170 to Rm180.... Ya wor, so much cheaper le...proton SC charged RM218.xx Just purchase the 4 litre. Have to check again tomorrow, its generally cheaper than buying Petronas engine oil at any Proton Edar service centre. No idea why but for us Suzuki, Suzuki Malaysia Automobile do get us a better offer than Proton though..... Added on November 21, 2012, 12:20 am QUOTE(archiq @ Nov 20 2012, 10:42 PM) right wiper touching frame is not normal bro.. later got heavy raining, ur wiper rubber will be hancur becoz of wiping the windscreen at very high speed.. QUOTE(stargate8 @ Nov 21 2012, 11:22 AM) everything good bro Dhuang Dhuang. I just went for 3rd 10k service few days ago, used Shell helix ultra 5w40 fully synthetic. FYI, most SC dun have the 5w30/5w40, must check with SC or bring your own engine oil before go to service. Have ur car update the latest ECU/TCU?just busy and having flu for past 4 weeks. about engine oil for my first 2 service 1k and 5k, i used semi 10W40, which i think is sufficient for my usage (stop n go traffic due to heavy jam) and 5k interval. my 3rd service i would use fully synthetic 5W40 syntium 3000 for 10k interval. regardless of 0w, 5w, 10w, in msia temp won't be less than 10degree Celsius. unless u live on highland and maybe temp drop below 10. between 30 and 40, thicker oil 40 suits my driving condition, due to traffic jams. before 1k service, i already whack the engine 140-150km/h, so far only whack till 160km/h. I also whack the engine 160km/h before 1k service, top speed 180km/h....hope not getting any summon |

QUOTE(stargate8 @ Nov 21 2012, 11:47 AM) oh, perhaps will go to those authorized sc again, the one i went to, they use shell, may use Shell helix ultra 5w40 fully synthetic, how much is shell? So far what I observed after ECU/TCU updated:mine not yet flash with the latest ecu/tcu, but i notice below: engine start - 1500 - 1600 rpm before drop back down to 800 / 900rpm stop at D mode - 600 / 700rpm stop at N mode - 800 / 900rpm 80Km/h - around 1500 - 1600rpm 110km/h - around 2000 - 2100rpm still experience light jerking around 10 - 20km/h when slowing down. cvt characteristic perhaps? - stop at D mode around 1000rpm - feel no more jerking at 10-20km/h low speed - engine now very responsive like inspira and vios, have to adapt to it again, feel too fast hard to brake - FC dun know yet QUOTE(stargate8 @ Nov 21 2012, 11:53 AM) ceh, got bluffed lor, lol. myeg not update their system on time...may be once a week.i everyday log on myeg to check for summons... hahaha... till now no saman yet QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Nov 21 2012, 12:00 PM) As they said, "be careful of what u wish for.." Ahahaha Touchwood also heheMe as well actually.. hehe.. Touchwood nothing will catch my White Knight in the cam! hehe |

QUOTE(stargate8 @ Nov 21 2012, 12:40 PM) so new ecu/tcu, will deliver more power for stop n go traffic? Ya, thats my concern too. Will see in few weeks time to judge lo whether the FC is good or bad.my current fuel usage is 14L/100KM, travel along jln yap kwan seng, jln ampang, mrr2, up n down ramps and hilly road. when jams going up ramps at slow speed, will burn more fuel |
