QUOTE(allenultra @ Nov 16 2012, 12:25 PM) Actually the correct procedure is, whoever read and receive the email, will print out and show everyone. Brief technician and SA. For my previous post, it was typo. I struggle to accelerate from 110km to 150km/h, flat surface. The engine roar like mad, like Vios....sigh Perhaps my car still very much virgin if with 4k mileage, since all the 4k are done within city. Hardly speed above 120km/h Hey guys, tried the engine mounting mod with fuel line. Effective DIY mod, cheap and easy. Bro...the engine mounting mod with fuel line mod u mention.Mind to further elaborate on this mythical mod that is cheap and easy?

Light steering make car feels cheap and nasty. Go and test drive them conti like VW or BMW, their steering is heavy, nicely weighted. Provides better feedback and steering feel. Preve having a weighted steering makes me love it even more.

I am experiencing very loud noise on my CVT3 gearbox now. Sounds like a strong wind gushing through a small window gap(ghost sound), but abit more mechanical rough sound, like electric motor ? 6000KM into my car and i had never notice the sound before, its a new sound. Its even louder when i am braking to a stop to 0 km/h, the rpm will stuck at 1.2-1.3k with the sound until i reach nearly to a complete stop, then the sound die off after the clutch is engage.
I fetch a client after that, embarrassing as the guy commented on my car, what a loud new vehicle.
Its not CVT whining sound, damn what is happening.

QUOTE(RattleSnaKe @ Dec 19 2012, 10:55 PM) Some opinion after driving the Preve CFE for few weeks, the engine quite willing, love the handling, the front very stiff, so it turns in very well. Ride quality is quite "continental", abit hard but not stiff enough to be jarring. The CVT feels abit funny since it masks your speed really well, sometimes I speed accidentally since the engine sounds unstressed. Not sure the car has the remapped ECU or not since it is not my personal car. The FC is sort of terrible in city drive, 7km/L only but it includes some "testing sessions conducted in high speeds". Unfortunately I did encounter some Proton signature build quality, which means that the front driver window has a funny sound when used in a hot day, The Head unit/GPS keeps ejecting and then pull the CD back in continuosly, slightly uneven panel gaps, and flimsy plastics. Besides, anyone thinks the seats are mounted quite high in the car? I drive with the driver seat at its lowest position and it still feels auite lofty. The front passenger seat is even higher, like sitting in a MPV (maybe cause of the Exora platform?). Bro i find the seats very high too. I am 180cm in height by the way and i hate the seats. It is set to the lowest position too and high as hell to me. I wish to change the seat to lower aftermarket Recaro. But this way the side air bag is a goner. Arghhhh..

QUOTE(rognales @ Jan 7 2013, 03:42 PM) regarding the service schedule, next service after 1k is 5k or 10k? If using semi syn engine oil. I am a CFE owner using Shell 5-40W full syn engine oil...i straight skip to 10k after the 1k service bro.... service at 5k is all right too...keeps the engine fresh.....if budget allows....
