My panel antenna is giving me quite a headache. Isn't it suppose to work best when pointed at the tower's direction? Mine achieves the best ping/speed while lying flat up doh.gif

I seriously do not think the tower I'm connected is somewhere in the sky rclxub.gif So, bounced signal? Zzz...
*
It is highly possible that you aimed to a slower tower.

You need to get your mdma running and keep monitor your CELL ID closely.
if you found one of the tower perform the best for you, hunt the signal

Erm can I ask? What is the different between public IP and private IP?
*
If you do not request public ip then you confirmed to be private

All Maxis are private IP unless you requested for a switch

Yes, the apn is "unetp". Last time, need to call maxis and request for activation first then only can use unetp. If not activated and try to use unetp, can connect but cannot browse internet.
*
I can browse with unetp as APN nod.gif

Anyway, it differs since we using different package

laod-balancing is balance many connection into 1 connection, means got a lot of cable 4mbps each, they take it and combine so the speed: if input 10 cables 4mbps each = output 40mbps
*
My tower load balance until unusable doh.gif

Guess is the tower severely lack of bandwidth rclxub.gif

The Load Balancing that i am referring here is now there are almost double the amount of users compared to at 4pm. So Maxis have to limit your QoS so that everyone will be able to utilise the bandwidth. Your Ip might change during this period and your speed might fluctuate.
Usually, i would switch to YES for surfing.
*
Good opportunity to see how congested is the tower.

BTW, is today the first time Maxis did this. Never feel this before =/

Did you plug the E398 directly to the MR3420?

If yes, why dun you use a USB Cable ( pref USB3.0) [ Blackie, you should hav send her some emi shield la]) The cable will make the connection between the modem and the router more flexible  icon_idea.gif

E398 come with one of it tongue.gif

[quote=digilife,Dec 6 2012, 07:23 PM]
how is the RSSI comparing MF680 with E398 ?
*

[/quota]

doh.gif missed MF680 in the benchmark equation

Signal cant be tracked accurately since E398 dont works with mdma

But I can say no unstable issue like the MF680
