Ok,so i just tested maxis broadband connection at my place using a maxis' ZTE MF190 modem, and this is the speed that i got.Funny thing is my house is not even inside maxis' DC HSPA+ coverage. Is this speed for real?I mean,is this kind of speed normal with the maxis' ZTE modem connected to HSDPA?

If you are covered under DC-HSPA+, you will get much faster than this.

yeah,i figured.but i thought HSDPA speed is more like 2-3Mb/s on average from what i've seen here,so when i saw i got 6Mb/s(with a cheap-ish bundled modem some more) i was surprised.Any recommendations on which modem is good to fully utilize the HSDPA speed?Actually i'm more concerned with stability and consistency.Or is the ZTE MF190 good enough?

The best single channel modem aka HSPA+ is Huawei E367 nod.gif

The most stablest known 3G modem I ever tested

Just got back my RMA-ed MF680, I got a new replacement. Awesome speed, getting around 1.8MB/s direct download.

A small question, if I plug modem directly to laptop (not using router), do I need to safely eject the modem after use? Or can just plug it out? Cuz I saw there is the ZTE modem in the safely eject menu. Not sure ejecting is better or worse. Thanks.
