QUOTE(dawja5215 @ Nov 15 2012, 12:33 AM) I see..But unet speed is very stable every time at DL:1.5mbps and UL:0.5mbps...ping is not bad also. [attachmentid=3156555] I think I found something..From this can see my modem is limited to a bandwidth of 7.2mbps only..Is this why I never get beyond 5mbps?So noob, hope sifus can help.. Seem like some sort of limitation in Windows 8 limitting the max COM port speed Is there any value that can be selected?

Getting Started

|
QUOTE(blacktubi @ Nov 11 2012, 03:46 PM) Hardware modification and signal enhancement Using an antenna» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Antenna will greatly increase your 3G stability and performance by a large fraction and it would greatly minimize the effects of weather on your connection.
Below are 2 types of antenna
Yagi - Designed for a ultra long range receiving, stability is not the original aim of yagi. Users on extreme countryside which totally couldn't get any signal are suggested to go for Yagi
Panel - Designed for stability and performance boosting, it boost the stability if you already on a high speed and minimize D/C. Easy installation/ Suggested for everyone as long as they got the signal. can elaborate about panel antenna. is't omni-directional antenna? how about dB? what it's mean exactly?

QUOTE(n0v1ce @ Nov 23 2012, 08:18 PM) will the change in tx power still able to boost-up the speed with panel attached ? It really depends Some lower the TX once antenna attached to reduce heat while maintaining the performance But some still go for 33 TX for the 100% power But in my point of view, go for the best
