Mine still stock, 220k km. Still thinking want to use engine cleaner or sprays etc or to do overhaul. Because no visible smoke yet. Even overhaul got top and full overhaul right?
*
Yup...got top and full...

But if you don't notice any changes in the car performance or u can live with the performance loss, I guess juz do regular maintenance should be ok...unless got problems like leaking oil or smoky exhaust then have to la... whistling.gif

Mine is close to 200K dy. Whooaaa 400KM? I drive light foot also cant achieve that. whats your cruising speed on average? Mine at 3000RPM around 80kmph i think. Need to re-observe. Never overhauled mine since bought tho
*
Cruise speed usually doesn't break 100kmph...normally @ 90kmph or 3200rpm...
Mine's more of a weekend car...can't afford to get stuck in traffic as the aircond doesn't cool when the car isn't moving... sweat.gif

Same case happened to me 2yrs ago. Compressor got too weak. After change it all fine again.

Good to hear many kelisa owners still here smile.gif
*
Seriously the compressor? Previously was said to be the fan not cooling the engine bay enough? hmm.gif

Just dropping by to say hi and share some experience.

2004 kelisa auto. Mileage reaching 300k km.. Fulltank 30-33 liter fuel can go between 330-360km.. Mixed driving around town & highway. Car cannot go more than 110km now since car will vibrate to much. Mechanic say maybe tyre and not drive shaft or other.

Timing belt only $2++. Usually change together with fan belt etc.

Compressor likes to breakdown. I think i already changed 3/4 times since bought this car. Nowdays the car under hot sun and if stationary will only coz the aircond to blow hot wind. If moving no problem.

Mounting lazy to change. My foreman say if wanna change get original. Buy others will last for short while only. And it's true coz change twice previously and still engine vibration resurface after a year or two. Original expensive.

Love the car coz i use 60 series tyre. I can just simple bang any lobang and humps. No issues. Easy to park. Easy to drive.

Owh. Buy myself petronas oil from fren work petronas so i get 3L for $5+. Go spare part shop buy oil filter get less than $10. Air filter $12/13. Spark plug forgot. In general servicing the car less than $100. Cheap to maintain.

What else. Hmmmm. Car accident 4 times. Still solid. Except after 1 accident that make my headlight to beam upward. Need to fix that.

Generally i'm happy with it to be used as my 'moto kapcai'. Hehe
*
Great to hear...
Vibrate from front or rear? If tyre, do a quick swap (front rear, left right) and see if any difference...

QUOTE(Ginta0516 @ May 3 2016, 10:01 AM)
You mean you change timing belt and all other belts for only 200++?
Man the mechanic quoted me timing belt 340.. and all other belts are charged separately.. so more than 500++ if I want to change all the belts..
*
If more than RM500++, might as well go back Perodua... sweat.gif

Currently applying soundproofing and removing all unused items to simplify the interior.

Where you find this? hmm.gif

Doing it myself but the place I bought the material do installation as well. Materials alone costed about RM600. Brand is Sika (good brand used by many OEM).

Including installation should be around 800-1k but obviously can go higher depending your requirement. Shop is called The One Car Accessory located in Puchong.

Is the material light?

No, it's heavy. Each sheet is 1000mmx500mmx2mm. Weighs about 2 kg. Meant to stick on the doors/roof etc to make it sound less like Milo tin. This is known as mass loading. Material is butyl rubber, same as Dynamat. They sell with aluminium backing and without. Without is cheaper, like RM60 per piece. With is smaller and costs like RM80 per piece. Most critical areas for Kelisa are the doors and roof. Big difference.
*
How many pieces did you need to install?

Did it affect the performance of the car or is it a worthy trade off for better insulation?

I already used up 8 pieces cut and paste where necessary. So far covered 4 doors, the entire firewall and entire boot area. Some places have two layers (e.g where the steel is thin and large areas). Went and got more plus some of the aluminium backed ones to do the roof. Also laying more to totally cover any cracks or joints so the floor is like one whole piece. This is to keep it waterproof.

I'm sure it affects the performance. Currently I've removed the entire dashboard, rear seats and plastic trim so it's much lighter and hence much faster. But I imagine I'll be quite sad when I put everything back. Also planning to replace the 3 cyl with Myvi 4 cyl to reduce vibrations.

Wow...really extensive DIY you have there...
No worries, keep us posted on the updates...it is certainly interesting and very motivational for others to do...

On the engine, are you sure the engine bay can fit a K3-VE? If it does, maybe the one frm Avanza would be better?
