bring pep in, cesc will follow his hero. oh who am i kidding, he's vilanova's man now.
i guess it's the time to use that cliche phrase again. insanity is doing the same thing but expecting different results. only this time, the variable is not formations or tactics or players. the variable is AW. because a few more losses like this in the next few games, i dont think even wenger has immunity from the sack. |

QUOTE After all the ridiculous results we've had in the recent past, I doubt anyone would be surprised if it turns out Arsenal has been running a massive gambling operation since 2007. Winning some games to put the odds in their favor, then just when you think they are back on track and bet on them BAM- lose to Bradford or Birmingham or let Newcastle come back to tie 4-4. Meanwhile, Kroenke is betting millions through the Virgin Islands. It would certainly explain the surreal inconsistency. this comment was taken from soccernet |

Arsenal lack of tough player.
Arsenal need never say die player, which I think the key reason why they don't perform. Arsenal need a better motivational manager/coach, which I don't think Arsene is. He's a manager with exceptional scouting talent, but he's not good in motivating a player. When Arsenal was a powerhouse, he has Adam, Keown, Seaman, Vierra to help. These players are exceptional leaders/fighters. Current squad, I don't see player having mental toughness like them. 2 cents. |

So I see so many calling for Pep to replace Arsene. With all due respect though given the Barca team he had even my grandmother could've been manager and won things.
Credit where credit is due though I don't remember Barca playing that pressing game before he was manager which has been the catalyst of most of their recent successes Anyway, not saying that he is a sh*t manager, just feel he hasn't been tested enough to warrant that much hype around him. |

QUOTE(sigheart @ Dec 13 2012, 01:38 AM) So I see so many calling for Pep to replace Arsene. With all due respect though given the Barca team he had even my grandmother could've been manager and won things. If it was that easy how come rijkard before pep did not achieve the same results? As you can tell from my avatar that I am a big fan of pep and obviously barca.. But i believe i am not wrong in saying that no manager has ever made such an impact on world football, revolutionising the game.. Before pep became manager, probably only arsenal plays the beautiful pass and run possesion game (besides rijkard-led barca).. Now likes of swansea, liverpool and heck even QPR tries to emulate that, to different extends of success.. Not even just attacking, even defensively where closing down opponents the moment the ball is lost, instead of tracking back, with a high line of defence and pressure.. This was all almost non-existent and probably unseen before pep came along and took the football world by storm.. So yes, pep did have a really strong team to start off with, but that is not a basis to take any credit away from him.Credit where credit is due though I don't remember Barca playing that pressing game before he was manager which has been the catalyst of most of their recent successes Anyway, not saying that he is a sh*t manager, just feel he hasn't been tested enough to warrant that much hype around him. The most important question is, whether pep is able to adapt to the demands of the English games, and his ability to tweak his system as other teams are already able to counter his game tactics (read: deep defending in numbers, long ball to the forward who takes at least 30% of his chances) and beat Barca. |

Given choices I want David Moyes as our manager next season. I do not think whoever coming in after le Boss will be given sufficient money for managers like Pep or Mourinho to implement their tactics; especially Pep. I fully believe David Moyes will be able to get the best out of this Arsenal, which in my opinion is to challenge for the BPL title.
But not this season. Arsene Wenger need to be given support to try and correct things this season, and then resign on his own terms rather than being sacked. He at the very least deserve that after all that he did for us This post has been edited by toshio14: Dec 13 2012, 06:51 AM |

He at the very least deserve that after all that he did for us 1.) BPL Proven 2.) Great to develop players/searching for good players 3.) Easy to adapt into a stingy club (when selling > buying) 4.) No boring football. Dare to play attacking football against stronger team. |

Wenger is the Brain Clough of Nottingham Forest club.
His time is up i think. First half of his career with Arsenal is magnificent. but the other half is just mediocre in footballing point of view. if in term of club financial stability, Wenger has done pretty well. Maybe he can still improve the team until the season end, maybe we will still achieve top four position. but, he wont be winning anything soon. Person to replace AW?? Moyes,Pep,Klopp If we get Pep, we can attract lots of big name. i'm pretty sure there's a lot of players want to play under Pep rather than Moyes. BUT, only Moyes is proven in EPL, and can operate a team with 'tight' budget. |

EXCLUSIVE: Fergie set to beat City and Liverpool to Walcott as United lead race for Arsenal's contract rebel
Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...-Liverpool.html Barcelona.....Man City and now Man United. Arsenal is becoming a player development club and feed to the rich clubs. Man City and Man United should sack their scouts. This post has been edited by Griever5177: Dec 13 2012, 08:40 AM |

my 2 cents ...
pep - manager wenger - director of football awesome combination ... i believe the quality of our team r fine, maybe we just needed another DMC in the mold of Vieira or Yaya Toure. at times we play the most entertaining football but at some times we can't even beat the lower teams ... our tactics needs to be tweak a little and we still haven't have a plan B for so many years. hope pep is interested in us ... but i doubt it. |

Even AW couldn't win a single trophy in the last 7 years. The most important question is, whether pep is able to adapt to the demands of the English games, and his ability to tweak his system as other teams are already able to counter his game tactics (read: deep defending in numbers, long ball to the forward who takes at least 30% of his chances) and beat Barca. Ignore those kind comments from Arsenal fans. This kind of fans are disgrace to the AFC. They just can't accept the fact Barcelona is 10X better than Arsenal. |
