Giroud is a proper out an out striker that will get you 20-30 goals a season with the right kind of service. Our wingers and fullbacks will be crucial. The sooner we get Gibbs back the better. Vermaelen on the left gives us probably better defense and tackling to a certain extent but going forward Podolski so often gets isolated without someone to make those overlapping runs and draw defenders. Gibbs isn't the best crosser but hey if you don't buy a ticket you won't win the lottery and Vermaelen offers almost nil in this area.

Im not surprised by our slump. The alarm bells were ringing already after the Norwich performance which i immediately pointed out but as usual some people just refuse to accept that there is something wrong with this club at the moment.

Don't get me wrong I do believe this squad is still good enough. No time for the lads to feel sorry for themselves though as its the NLD this Saturday. Perfect stage for them to bounce back but also potentially a huge banana skin. A win is must this weekend.

Btw Arshavin has been fantastic lately. He has had a big impact in the last 3-4 games he has played. I'd fancy him a start on Saturday and perhaps bench Poldi.

Happy with the 3 points but the way we switch off and lose focus after getting ourselves into some sort of "comfort" zone is really becoming a concern.

Analysis of Substitutes coming in to play today:
Santos - just plays ball back. his usual self. doesn't look interested
Ramsey - plays ball back. Loses the ball to opposition. Doesn't look crucial when given chance infront. his usual self.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - wants to prove himself. Full of techniques. Went for an assist when he can score.

We were 4-2 up and practically the whole team were stringing passes back and sideways to waste time. Its true they have been poor in recent times and deserves criticism but that you choose to nitpick just when the team chose to see the game out is unfair.

Santi practically just passed backwards and sideways 90% of the time after Tottenham made it 2-4. Does that mean he is disinterested the last 20+ minutes too?

I'm just glad we are through. I don't see much difference if we finish first or second this year. Highly likely as it stands:

If we finish second in the group: Porto, Barca, Bayern, Dortmund, Shakhtar or Malaga

If we finish first in the group: Real, Juve, Milan, PSG, Benfica, Gala or Valencia

All very good teams

When we concede sloppy goals people say Song push forward too often and not disciplined enough as a DM now when Arteta is as disciplined as you can get sitting back protecting the back four people say offer zero in attack lmao

Our shitness has now reached new heights. I've said it time and time again there is problems with this team. Noticed straight after the loss against Norwich.

Whoever still thinks there is still nothing wrong with the team deserves a slap to wake the Fucuk up.

Because spending money to buy players is too mainstream.

We give them to fans.

Hope bradford lose next round this team full of luck

Now that is just sour grapes. Just accept this Arsenal team is as sh*t as it gets. Results speaks for itself. Ultimately no one will remember Bradford got lucky.

So I see so many calling for Pep to replace Arsene. With all due respect though given the Barca team he had even my grandmother could've been manager and won things.

Credit where credit is due though I don't remember Barca playing that pressing game before he was manager which has been the catalyst of most of their recent successes

Anyway, not saying that he is a sh*t manager, just feel he hasn't been tested enough to warrant that much hype around him.
