Budget? Haha the tyre price range is too huge. The good ones will be double the price of the crappy onces. Can try Federal - Yoko - Continental/Goodyear - Michelin.

yokohama C-Drive 2.. One of the best grip+comfort tyre at the cost of below RM400. should be around RM360/RM370 per piece. But still you need a set of 16" if you are changing them.

On the other hand i downgraded to 15" and gotten the C-Drive 2 at eaach RM205. Very very damn comfortable and wet grip improved tremendously. Still 16/17" with better tyres would definitely be better.

Were you using GPS during that drive? The volume of our stock GPS does not tally with the radio. GPS volume is much much lower than radio.
And speaker priority goes to the GPS. So when you are on normal radio volume (3 - 5), the radio will be silenced to give way to GPS but you don't hear a thing due to the volume difference.

Bro try, Lucas Oil Stabalizer or LM Ceratec. There are quite a number of engines are famous for the issue. Engine oil are not fully covering the engine causing loud roar and engine knocking. So a certain oil additive really do help. I'm using Ceratec for my 1.6SX too. poured in during my first 300km. haha

For Ceratec. yup. Just pour in last around 40k km though claim to be able to last up to 50k km oil change. Your's is 1.6SX or 2.0SX? My 1.6SX never had this issue once start car straight jalan those kind.

- Yes Pricy
- Depend how you maintain it. It your think after coating, only wash once a week or car is park under sunlight or acid rain all time, you can save your $$

Wax
- Yes Cheaper IF compare with coating but there is also expensive wax where you can use for years (e.g one CAN)
- Wax not a must polishing IF you able to main your paintwork well. Just TOP UP when you think your protection layer is getting thinner

COATING is alike an extra layer of clear coat for your paintwork (some claim scratch resistance) but PROCESS of applying it is NOT EASY, you need to ensure SURFACE is swirl free and different coating has its own way of applying , drying (we call CURE time) and MAINTAINANCE.

Yes it somehow give better 'result' compare to waxing but as i said DEPEND HOW U MAINTAIN IT. A lot ppl have wrong mindset where i have done COATING my paintwork will be invincible and i only wash my car every month....

There is no such MAGIC product in the world work like this (at least for now), our climate acid rain will still create dirt film and bond to the surface...just that darker colour car not so easy to be spotted.
