Yup... I've tried that... Both front door can be open even you lock it... I think it is more on the convenience purposes... But it can be dangerous...

Afterr reading some comments and test it myself, just realised that my car suffer the heating console... This explain why my phone always feel hot when I put it there... Same with my Smart key...
