QUOTE(alvin2002_my @ Dec 16 2012, 01:12 PM) Sierra glow warranty 5years..but note that not showroom condition. Actually I saw the promotion RM149 for new car.. Thought of doing coating after getting my car but is it recommendable since the paint of the car is still new?Just warranty that wont oxide. Just make sure we clean our car often. Im at sierra glow now, they r really very detail when doing it, even they show me those very very minor scratches need to be polish first before coating.. Added on December 16, 2012, 1:23 pm QUOTE(kidmad @ Dec 16 2012, 01:15 PM) Change already as long as using the recommended size it should be ok. Beside your door driver side it shows the tire size for 15, 16, and 17. You changed yours already? I just saw a rim which I fall in love with the 1st sight.. 16 inch with 8holes on it for RM1000.. Since forte EX is using 16 inch rim, thought of changing the rim only.. I try ask my SA once I meet him to collect the car This post has been edited by Snoopie: Dec 16 2012, 01:23 PM |

QUOTE(kidmad @ Dec 16 2012, 01:54 PM) You can only use 5 hole 114.3 offset 5.5 to 7 should be ok. Try to search for the PG clay and sealant. Hope normal supermarket do sell it Oh ya. Rajin abit la. I use perma glass sealant and clay. Damn gooding. I think those coating is quite expensive le. Pg clay and sealant only rm5x for both. Every 3 months do it confirm better than bring out for choating Yup change to 15. Damn I love rubbers. . Anyway I change it because synergy m5 is just too crappy. . Only can use 5 holes? the sport rim comes with 8 holes. Hard to find sport rims with 5 holes. Normally 4 or 8 holes. |

QUOTE(alvin2002_my @ Dec 16 2012, 04:29 PM) I did mine while car still new bcoz wan to protect the paint of the car from oxide. How much you did yours and where is the place? Wow, if can last for 5 years then it worth it! Of course u can DIY urself if u have the time, skill and knowledge of doing it step by step. I was told that his coating can last for at least 5years if we make sure we clean our car often. Outside shop polish and wax cost about RM150, which last for about 2-4months. After done coating, just send for carwash will do (since I also malas person) |

QUOTE(yuy_hikaru @ Dec 23 2012, 03:15 PM) I got my car for my gf from az master yesterday too. Btw thumbs up to the service from mr edwin aka motorman. would recommend him to anyone who intend to buy a kia :-) Are u the one wearing spec that came around noon? Hahaha? Added on December 24, 2012, 2:29 am QUOTE(lit_ching @ Dec 23 2012, 08:16 PM) Bro, interested to swap your 16" rim for 17"? hehe, my wife's just got her 1.6sx white last week from AZ master Edwin Loh too Sorry bro, prefer my 16 inch tyres as the it is soundless when im driving and cheaper if next time I change my tyres. You can alwis trade in both tyres and change to 16 inch with nicer rims.Overall efficient service, when we collected the car, he wasn't the one to serve us though, perhaps business really good We collected on Sat, the GPS wasn't ready for us that time, luckily we stayed in Seri Kembangan One of the best deal available in the market, as for the free tinting voucher, we didn't ask him to get the car tinted before we collected the car. Voucher wasn't provided to us when we collected the car either, luckily we didn't use it as we get better deal for the same brand yet superior product without that so called "voucher" Last but not least, if you looking for one of the best deal, he is definitely the person you can rely on This post has been edited by Snoopie: Dec 24 2012, 02:29 AM |

QUOTE(SeeD @ Dec 24 2012, 08:18 AM) Bro, seriously 16 inches rims is soundless? If yes I'm considering changing it too ... @_@ When I test drive for 17 inch, I can hear the tyre running on the road as maybe due to wider surface. Then I try survey, heard if you are a fast driver, the 16 inch is better as more grip.May I know why the 17" rim is so noisy now? o.O Will the rim/tyre brand make any difference or any 16" would be soundless? Yes it depends on your tyre pattern. Higher quality is better but of cause more costly. 16 inch of cause is cheaper thann 17 inch in terms of maintaining. Just bigger tyres look more elegant and safety Bare in mind, bigger tyre may bring more fuel consumption as due to heavier. Forte only 1.6, so I tink is not neccessary for 17 inch unless you driving 2.0. A fortian in LYN here jz change from 17 inch to 15 inch. I pump shell last two days, use shifter to buka the engine since new car
Previously i drove manual, can judge base on gear, but auto not use. If press hard, it will drop gear to pick up. So i tried maintain constent speed and make sure RPM dont go above 3000.. Malaysia road is getting more horrible.. Everywhere lubang and bumpy road.. Just now night never see, went pass the hole.. Lucky not driving fast.. Any tyre expert here, who can recommend what tyre is good for 16' inch and how much the pricing? Merry Xmas to all my fortian and remember to jingle on the highway |

QUOTE(brainz07 @ Dec 25 2012, 07:05 AM) Just realize the top 2 bars fuel meter, very slow to turn down..centre to E alil bit fast than top I read through online what can cause FC: After this will changed to 16..need to try to see the changes in handling and FC..after I get my bonus laa - Bigger wheels would be an increased body weight, and greater traction due to their increased width, both having an adverse result on the vehicle's acceleration. - One should consider the vehicle's horsepower (hp) before deciding on upgrading the tyres. If the hp is low, it will not improve performance by enlarging the wheel size. For example, a great majority of cars in Malaysia fall into the 1.3 to 1.6 litre passenger vehicle category. Most cars in this category weigh 1 to 1.2 tons and make between 115 to 135 hp, and use 185/60R14 tyres. In these cases, some performance gains may be actualized if the tyres were changed to 185/65R14, or if the width was reduced to 175mm. However, most owners choose instead to change to 195/50R15 or even 195/55R15, which only serves to increase weight and subsequently, fuel consumption. - Some sport rims is heavier than the standard rims. This will cause higher fuel consumption of you car. - Inefficient driving styles result in poor fuel efficiency, which ultimately leads to higher fuel consumption. A few changes to your driving style could provide a really noticeable difference and a very important method of reducing your fuel consumption. - The amount of vehicle fuel consumed as a result of overweight and obese passengers. Hope this clarification may help QUOTE(kidmad @ Dec 25 2012, 07:38 AM) Join the dark side.. QUOTE(SeeD @ Dec 25 2012, 01:11 PM) Nice. You mean low gear when you pick up? So far mine 16'inch is smooth but heavy just when passenger are filled up..For 15" and 16" wheel users, do you notice the increase in torque when accelerating? With the stock 17", car feels abit heavy during low gear. Maybe 17'inch wheels should pump Ron97 for better acceleration and pick up. |
