hi guys,

is it possible to lock the car doors with the smart key outside of the car?

sometimes i want to lock my car for a while (say pay parking ticket) and dont want to turn off thje engine.

what can i do?
*
just bring down your key fob with you when the engine is on. and lock it like normal with your fob button.
engine will still be running with the "tuuuu" electronic sound for a while

Your help is much needed.

Anyone encountered this windscreen crack just after a week drive?
Yesterday heard a sound like been hitting by a stone, come from nowhere (no car in front).  cry.gif
I doubt it is bcoz of stone, is it possible bcoz of manufacturer defect? Why so soft then? rclxub.gif
Can I claim warranty?

Arrghhhhhhh!! Everyone deserve to drive with peace of mind.. doh.gif

Whistling sound at 100kmh, is it normal?
or bcoz of the add-on door visor? hmm.gif
*
i have got different answer.
some say the visor is not a factor and to reduce windnoise gotta install the door rubber seal.
but installing door rubber seal will made your door difficullt to close, always need to slam it

i got the ori mobis visor as well and the windnoise after 100kmh is apparent.
but somehow i got use to it already

Hey guys... I currently searching for my first car. As a person with RM 3k salary, RM 80k (the lowest spec) for a car are really a big amount for me. This car will be a family car and I have no intention to sell and buy. Just drive as long as I can.

So, I want to ask Forte owner at Miri and Kuching, how is the after sale service for Forte? 5 years unlimited warranty (T&C) are really attractive and sound promising.

I know this car have a place at West Malaysia but I'm not sure how Forte perform at East Malaysia and I wish someone could share with me their experience with me. And oh yeah, how much is your interest rate and your deposit with monthly payment.
*
dont over stretch yourself bro. i think 3k salary and staying all by yourself is already very tight and you still want 80k car? better be kidding me.

well unless your back reserve kuat.

FaMa support can lah, get 2.0 brows.gif

to all forte user, need some advices here
I am planning to get a new Forte , but unsure whether i should go for 1.6 or 2.0
so would like to ask all the Sifu here for some advices:

How much difference between the FC for 1.6SX and 2.0
(1 full tank can go how many km for both city& highway)??

i am looking for a comfort& quite drive, not for sport and speed.
the reason i prefer for 2.0 is it has Auto-Cruise ( I travel a lot on highway).
but i worry 2.0 FC will be very high compare to 1.6SX
for normal use to work and some long distance travel during holiday(KL- Johor), 1.6 enough?
will 1.6 be under power?

After i got the car, what should i do to increase the performance and FC?
should i terus go nearby shop to change my tyre/ rims?

any forte users here know Kia Kepong Branch? is it good?
I actually went to Selayang Kia SC, meet an SA, he gave me better offer(Extra 1k discount) but i need to get my car somewhere in Kepong instead of from the Selayang Kia SC, feel weird for that. Is it safe to buy like this?

Thank you for your advices

if FC carries a significant weight in your consideration, then 1.6sx is sufficient.
2.0sx if you requires some extra accelereation or you have bunch of heavy passengers.
im drinving a 1.6sx, its sufficient for crusiing in the highway and FC is around 7.7l

the original stock forte is already performance based with 17" rims and a noisy tyres. prolly if you prefer comfort, downgrade to 16" and get a better set of tyres.

i think most of us bought at the seri kembangan branch. as for myself i did a surveys and noted theres a few fella here offerring superb prices and services.
read up this thread and you will find their ads post

the SC said the crack might become longer, but wont break.
not sure can rely or not..just afraid it will break when driving.
