your ladio at least can complain and get it changed.

i just did my first service today!

dashboard rattling couldnt solve. SC ppl say if open up dashboard might cause secondary problems blink.gif blink.gif
anyone got this issue?

Added on December 6, 2012, 1:15 pmok this is my late review of experience of purchasing a forte with the legendary motorman you guys recommended.

i have contacted him after seeing the post asking for best offers and seriously his offer is one of the best around here there and everywhere.

this is my first time buying a car and hence lotsa questions popping and he patiently answered them one by one. it took 2 hours including signing the vehicle order. he even brought me to his car yard and choose which unit i want.

took loan with maybank and heck it was fast. within 3 working days loan approved and signed, another 2 days for him to fixed those body kits and get it ready.

first and subsequent few services is going to be cheaper for those who bought with azmaster, got discount thumbup.gif

the only issue is the dashboard rattling issue left unsolved which the SC said couldnt fix because they will have to remove the whole dashboard and refit it back and worried it might cause further rattling sound somewhere. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

oh well, prolly will drop the naza ppl an email to ask about this issue.

buying experience: informative
package offered: awesome
lead time: super fast
services: first class
after sales services: no idea. doesnt have to deal with him.
overall: thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

need your opinion...
i need a car right now, and see the offer made for forte makes it top of my list...
the main concern people have is the new k3 thats coming out next year... tbh, i prefer the design of the current forte... the question is, do the next year k3 a massive improvement over the current one?
and I dont care about RV right now...(maybe later..haha)
and, can I know what make you choose forte and not the other car.. .thanks
*
c segment at a b segment price
5 years warranty
within price range of 80-90k you get ESC. the cheapest car with ESC that i know is the civic.
check out page 1 on the maintainance cost, its the cheapest.

it depends on your budget really.
within 80-90k c segment you have inspira and forte.

new k3 i guess the price would be higher. i have seen its with the auto parking function, new chassis etc
and of course with massive improvement, it comes with massive pricing

Hey guys, i jz get my baby 1.6sx this afternoon, really felt so happy when i drive it.
Admin pls add me to owner list thx smile.gif

I hv one question, do I need to use the connector that kia provided to listen my iphone songs? But seems i get a connector that doesnt actually suits my HU..so i use my own iphone cable and i tried to open up music in HU but god damn couldnt play any songs from my phone thru HU.

Probably will get back to the SC to change the connector..but is there other way to solve this problem?
*

Hi Forte owners,

Can anyone share some info regarding the price range for UV + Security tinting?
I understand that there are many types of tinting/security film in the market, but can someone share their real-life experience(s) with these?

My budget is about RM1500 for tinting, but when I got to the tint shop, I was told that UV+Security film tinting would cost RM2300 at a minimum. At that price range (RM2300), I also won't get a good brand tint film.

Any opinion/advice/ideas people? I'd appreciate them, thank you! smile.gif

Side question: Anybody has a clue on how much is the cost to tint a Forte with 'Huper Optik' brand UV film?
Thanks...

Any1 here used agard tint?can write review?coz edwin suggested to use agard 5mil tint which is 1.8k..
*
for your budget why dont you get a huper optik or vkool?

the stats about the irr and etc does matter but the most important thing is the material of the tint.

material such as ceramics, metalised, dyed.

ceramics and metalised will retain their heat rejection for a long long long period while dyed films will deteriorate over time.

note that the lower band of raytech or agard is either dyed or mixed metailsed and dyed or ceramics and dyed.

i did huperoptik btw which is at your range as well.

i dont believe in the voucher thing which always is a hoax.

Actually i dont have any voucher..i ask him to help tint my car with 3m crystalyn series which is 1.8k..then he said agard much better with security 5 mil and irr is 95 which same price with 3m i requested..
*
if im you, i will go for 3m.

reason being

1. for the same price would you buy a lancer or an inspira?
2. the material of the tint itself.
3. alot of brands such as raytech and agard tints are mass produced by an unamed manufacturer and sold to alot of party and up to them to brand it themselves.
4. ITS A CRYSTALLINE DUDE.

and about the security tint, to think in another perspective, if im a thief, will i choose to break in a visibly dark tinted car or go for cars that doesnt seem to be tinted? of course the latter.

hence i dont think security tint is that relevant. thats why i go for non security tint which is cheaper and better heat rejection

after following this thread for a while, is it true that these are the common issues with forte (even if it's a brand new) ohmy.gif
1. rattling sound coming from dashboard if driving > 100km/j - i don't have this issue. which I'm surprise lotta ppl has it? Or maybe a few not sure.
2. weird sound from front door (either right or left) - nop.. none.
3. knocking sound if driving slowly while air-cond is in used - nop none.. but i never see anyone complain in this forum also.. ada ka?
4. standard tyre can't be 'harap'ed too much (noisy and bad grip) - obviously la.. Cheapest tyre for 17" range.. i change it to 15" using c-drive 2 solve my problem
5. front head light will get condensation after rain or wash etc - first few days yup.. After that to my surprise i don't have this issue anymore so far. Maybe my sealant and wax wax skill powderful liao can prevent condensation... lol just joking but not happening anymore.

other than that are
1. some SC are lousy - yup i believe so.. one of my buddy complain about setapak SC... one colleague who complained bout Red Cube for his first service.. As for me.. i went to glenmarie SC near VW, PRoton and Perodua one.. was fast and a breeze.. 8.15 reach.. wait they open @ 8.30.. by then 6 cars there ady. I no make appointment summore just go there only... 9.15 i drove home.
2. spare parts are not cheap - no idea man.. All forte should be still within warranty ma.
3. fuel consumption is high but still acceptable - so far best clocked is RM79 @ 460km.. for a C segment car it's quite good.. about the same with other C segments.
4. underpowered for 1.6? - ain't that bad but for me.. I'm jumping from Savvy > Forte so basically any car with higher horse power is good for me.

Hi Dankers, you have/are using HuperOptik tint for your current ride? Is this UV or UV+Security tint? May I ask for your personal opinion on the performace of the tint film?
Also, it'd be great if you could also share how much it costs you for.

Danke! smile.gif

hey bro im using c70 front + c40 for sides and rear.
i went to als8800 shop to install.
if you have a budget for a vkool or 3m cystalline you can afford huperoptik as well.

i install UV tint only. i think the performance is very good, under direct sunlight i dont feel a thing on my skin.
