if the 18-55 lens is still with you, try mount it on your camera and do the lens firmware upgrade... share with us about the hybrid focus with this lens? i mean before and after effect?  rclxms.gif

i have some pics from my company annual dinner... superb low light performance in ISO 1600...
i post it tonight after done some editing...

how you manage the RAW file distortion created by 1650 lens by LR 4.2? mind to teach me?

for the online application, i dont know u all notice or not... the keyboard dont have "_" key, which means dont use an email address with "_"... zzz    blink.gif
i double check few times but really cant find ...  swt...

Oo... i have returned the 18-55mm... so can't test it unless buy a new ones.. haha.. But for now i will live with the 16-50mm PZ. As for the distortion of the 16-50mm PZ, i actually did not correct it. It is only very visible to the eyes if you taking photo with lots of straight lines like pillars, grids... Taking beach photo u won't notice the distortions as there is a lot of curves...

I also got (different session though) http://www.flickr.com/photos/williamleong/...7230251/detail/

Shot mostly with Minolta 85mm

vyruzj, nice set.

the 50mm gives quite a distracting bokeh no?

Actually i do agree with you... First time using manual focusing 50mm... should have tried stopping it down abit. You have a nice collection there as well..

How to update the lens profile?
Sorry Lightroom 4.2 newbie here
*
You will need to download the program from Adobe 1st

Adobe Lens Profile Downloader

Once installed, select Sony from the drop down list, Select Sony NEX-6, then you will see the 16-50mm PZ lens profile.

The lens profile will be used to correct RAW images only, JPG's is already corrected in the camera itself.

Dont think it is the sleep mode -- it freezed the moment i turned it on and took a snap. Not idling. I tried pressing all buttons. Eventually had to take out the battery.

Few posts here

Is the problem easy to replicate? When this happened, wat lens is attached? Can try other lens? If easy to replicate, better get it replaced...

New NEX 6 user reporting in biggrin.gif

do you guys think that the metering for Nex 6 is kinda dark?
I normally set it to +0.3 ev for all my photos.
Its the same for my Nex 3, although it seems even darker on the Nex 6.
*
What metering mode you are using? Most review says the metering is accurate and spot on...
