Well provided if they qualify to the knockout stage. Still a 3 horse race. The most exciting group for the coming 2 remaining games.

Bertrand must improve before Liverpool game..also the pivot problem..better than against United..but still need more stability..

yap..even the assist from the same player..hehehe MATA

I mean we all know how luiz play..if luiz play the ball forward..Bertrand or Mikel should cover his place..suddenly..Mikel play higher...Bertrand play more central position...Luiz play forward..leaving empty space at left side of the pitch..

Maybe that is tactic problem?

Anyways, i pleased with the win, and although the performance was so-so, its hard to play against Shaktar and i'm happy the team's character and result.

I think this lineup should do well against Liverpool. However my two main concerns are Torres, and more importantly Luiz. The latter will be facing Suarez, so he cant afford underperform, let alone make silly mistakes. But putting Terry in also a risk as players like Suarez and Sterling are fast.

Ya somehow i feel is the tactic problem, MIKEL and RAM was not covering each other and surely not help by LUIZ going forward too. We are not exactly defending as a team also, when press the opponent to win back the ball, the team have to press together, if only 1 individual pressing is a waste of energy. RAM are still too use to his dribbling the ball forward but if he lose the ball, we will be in a lot of trouble as it is now a double pivot means MIKEL will be at his side unlike previous 433 MIKEL is at his back, and with MIKEL speed no way he can cover.

I think MIKEL and RAM has to be more discipline, their job should be cover left right back position when they go forward, provide passing option to our 3 AM and most important stay at the midfield win back all those lose ball like clearance from corner or cross, they should stay in the middle between opponent striker and their midfielder, this most of the time will be able to stop or at least slowdown those counter. Currently RAM and MIKEL all try to venture near penalty box leaving a lot space behind. Something similar to MANU, their 2 center midfield sit back most of the times.

Oscar having a good time in Champions League, didn't he? 4 goals now in group stage. Two of them possibly could be candidate for goal of the tournament.

But still i'm not impress with the double pivot and the back four. Luiz is too clumsy and complacent while Cahill lack of command.

good news is, instead of trio we now have a quadruple welcome Moses to the fantastic 4.

Torres's goal was lucky, but he shows the determination to get the ball, or else, he can't score if he don't have such positive. Maybe because of golden boot award from UEFA. biggrin.gif

Defend again another problem. 2 goals conceded this match, 1 goal last match, 4 against MU in league cup, 3 in BPL, total 10 goals in 4 matches. Kind of scratch head with defending like that.

Makelele still my fav in DM, he is short but energetic. but we don't have another makelele now. I think Ramires not so suitable as a DM, with his speed, i prefer him to play more forward. Essien is good before he injured, after recovered, he look like missing the spark on his form.

Mikel recently love going forward.
Perhaps, hes hearing commentor talking about his scoring ability..not scoring in 5 years for a midfielder is a record holder

Yup,
he should be focusing in defending rather than going forward.
let alone Ramires goes forward

Mikel was a AM before he was assigned to learn to be DM with Makelele.. laugh.gif

but I never rate him as goal scorer..more like a stability and defensive duty in our team..

about Moses..

QUOTE
He worked hard at the fee-paying Whitgift School in south London, learning under the former Chelsea player Colin Pates. He honed his trade at Crystal Palace before moving up the ladder at Wigan Athletic and now Chelsea. Moses has taken each challenge in his stride. Those who know him well speak of a determined, polite individual eager to seize his chance.
