How different is the 1.5suspension to the 1.3? Is the ride less bumpy?
P2 Claimed that 1.5 suspension has been made stiffer due to that it's a larger engine with more power. Regarding whether it's less bumpy, it's actually the same, still bumpy though.
My SA advised me to add in some safety features bcuz the car will be driven by my gf and I, which include security tint, autolock and hazard light blinking when doors unlock. Total cost will RM1600. Is this reasonable? Any members here opt for this features?
Any1 got loan from bank islam? Loan officer require us to pay RM300+ for autolife insurance, how does this insurance work? any1 knows?
Thanks
Tint? Which Brand bro?
Autolock? It has been removed due to insurance policy or something
Hazard light blinking when doors unlock? I thought every car has that?
Personally i think its not worth it. better do it outside. SA probably trying to samurai you with that kind of pricing.
QUOTE(pigduck @ Dec 10 2012, 01:33 PM)
today i test drove the 1.3 and 1.5.
and it's such a difference! i mean i could tell just by driving both at one go. so in a way that extra RM6k gives a better ride. Plus the interior although the 1.3 is a lot calmer (since it's blue) and the 1.5 is red (fierce), the dashboard looks more stylish on the 1.5.
one thing though i noticed is that the steering is light for 1.5 so the car tends to have a life of its own - control wise, although they say with the better suspension the car has better handling - also 1.5 has better fc. according to the SA but i think so too. just 'cos the car has better pick up from the get go - finally, my thoughts are laid to rest.
we test drove the 1.5 at higher speeds on a straight road although i was a bit fearful. i never felt scared in my kelisa but in the myvi, i was a little frightened. maybe 'cos the car felt like it was flying and very light... and powerful.
also, i liked the steering wheel in the 1.5 as compared to the 1.3. it's leather wrapped and is a little thicker... so better grip.
i like that i can pump the seats all the way up.
Added on December 10, 2012, 1:38 pmdo you think they'll be doing a refresh of the myvi any time soon? it came out end of 2011...
Yes indeed, it depends on individuals. Even me myself that own a 1.3 LB Myvi, when SE launched, I actuallt regretted that why didnt I wait for the 1.5 to launch.
And regarding whether they gonna refresh. I don't think it would be any soon as the NEW myvi was only launched on 2011 June. Facelift / Refresh / New Model would only come out normally in 3 years time.

Why do you think Perodua is pushing the sales of Myvi SE and not the Extreme by not giving discount?
Added on December 10, 2012, 6:09 pmI guess adding another extra RM6k for Extreme is not worth it? Adding extra RM6k for 1.5 is good.. But what about going extreme?
Added on December 10, 2012, 6:12 pmAlso was recommended Tint but it was really expensive. Around RM1k ... Not sure if it worth it. More for solar than security... Plus JPJ compliant would be good.
Added on December 10, 2012, 6:14 pmI am just not sure we should spend so much on tint for a myvi. Can use the money to do other things...
Added on December 10, 2012, 6:16 pmI want tint so the car is cool
6k extra for the extreme is definitely not worth it. It's basically just cosmetic changes. But if u think you don't want the hassle of finding and going to those accessories shop adding the bodykits and leather. It's your choice to pay the 6k actually. But I can assure u can get cheaper price out there
hi boys & girls. i will be getting my car next week. just signed the docs at perodua yesterday. at the moment waiting for my number to be registered. waiting for WXS ----

I am looking at my chassis no. and I see that they have sold at least 2 million Myvis if I can read it correctly...
Hey Bro, nope not 2 million lol. You only read the 4 or 5 digits starting from the back of the chassis number given
eh EPS occur on most myvi 2011?or jus because we oversteer the steering to max?then the prob occur?or izzit oredi prob coz EPS not updated?
EPS = Electric Power Steering which is equiped in ALL Range of the New Myvi (LB [1.3] & LPLB[1.5]), The issue that is raised by our members and other myvi owners is that there is a significant delay of the response by the EPS and it might cause a danger to the drivers as sometimes it gives you too much assist and sometimes it doesn't give any assist when it's needed. Therefore, now the owners are giving their petition requesting for P2 to resolve this issue to make the EPS more accurate so that it gives the correct amount of assist when the car is needed to steer and also stiffen the steering when the car is on high speed.
hi, i've got something ask here. Just now while i was driving, a cat suddenly appear in front of me, as it was so sudden, i couldn't break and accidentally hit the cat. my front bumper crack. do i need to change a new bumper? and roughly how much does it cost to change a new one? thanks.
Wow, I didnt know that a cat could crack a bumper , Anyways a bumper from P2 would roughly cost you RM600 included spraying. Maybe u can try look for shops that could fix the crack. That would really save your money lol

i lost my number plate again after driving through flood water. i experience some weird things after driving through the flood water. my brake suddenly tak makan after coming out from the water. is it because of water soak disc rotor or servo problem. any advice?
Well, that's because your brake rotors are hot and suddenly cold water are splashed onto it. This might cause your rotor to be wrapped . Get it checked as the rotor might be damaged already.

I owned Kancil 850 (since my student time) and let go my problematic Waja 1.6 Campro. Applying loan for this Myvi is very easy and hassle free. After 2 days submitting the loan, the next day I sign agreement and the following day I got my car!
At first I quite reluctant to 'love' this car. I ask my dad to drive it home coz I felt a lil bit 'downgraded' from Waja to Myvi.
But after a few days, I must say, I am a proud owner and driver of this car! Love it very much and make me excited to drive.
It takes 3 days for me to cover this forum (v23 as well). Would like to thanks all sifu for your advise and of course some noob-ers too coz you've asked the question that mingling on my head! (Yeah me noob too).
Btw, doesn't my chassis sounds like old batch? I not well versed with this thingy. I need to know that, since I just found out my front bonnet has thumb sized patched surface and they cover up by paint it. Very annoying since the surface is not even. I know I failed to notice this while picking up the car but defect obviously happen during SA possesion. Am I late for warranty?
Updated! Welcome to the Club Regarding the defect of paint, You may try calling your SA and tell him about it. If he ignores it then maybe u try send back to P2 SC see if they could do something about it. Because once you sign off the document when collecting the car, it does mean that you have accepted the car with the current condition. Thats why owners are advised to do a full check before signing off the documents correct me if im wrong though.

[/quote]
That is because of JPJ regulations. It's not a problem actually. But if u wish to be able to play the movie while driving, u can go to some accessories shop to do it for you. Please bare in mind that cutting wires would void the warranty for your Multimedia Player and other parts that the wire connects to

I don't think so Bro. ALL new Myvi are using the same Projector Headlamps. There's no diff between them in terms of the headlamps.
