If i not mistaken, certain overseas universities accept malaysian matriculation result. My friend had applied for medical course at 4 universities in ireland and it requires minimum 3.8cgpa for malaysians matriculation (this include Pusat Asasi Sains UM) . It also state the minimum requirement for stpm candidates.

well i'm planning to take up pharmacy. by the way, what's the difference of matriculation in universities like UM and the matriculations in each state? you know, like kolej matrikulasi melaka, kolej matrikulasi negeri sembilan...etc.

and if i plan to do my masters overseas, will take look at my matriculation certificate as well eventhough i've got a degree from a malaysian university? i've heard many people saying that they might pick a stpm or A levels holder rather than an unknown ( maybe to them) matriculation holder.

Matriculation in UM, u mean Pusat Asasi Sains UM a.k.a PASUM. Pasum only accept malay, and they get higher chances to enter UM compare to other people from KPM matrics. But, bear in mind that their syllabus are totally different and they take 4 main subjects compare to normal KPM matrics which take only 3 subjects.

I think when u want to do master in overseas, they wont look at your pre-u result. U already got your degree, why they want to look at your past 4 or 5 years certificate?
