Oops I wonder if my Nighthawks purchased from fleabay fall under this category (I got them at a huge discount by the way).

If one were to exercise objectivity when buying a timepiece, most of the luxury brands can close shop already. It's all about wants and desires.

^So how does one avoid suffering, pray tell? By having no wants at all? hmm.gif

But these treads have just the opposite effect biggrin.gif

Ok enough about the philosophical digression, let's continue with watches.

I have the same 5600 stealth, bought as part of a pair (Baby-G for ladies version). Legibility is pretty good, in the dark you can always use the backlight smile.gif

Reasonably priced natos for sale here - http://theknottery.com/more/watch-bands.html

Also there's a black Friday promo going on but not sure if applicable to straps.

In the spirit of Cyber Monday sharing, ashford.com is having some pretty good online deals. Some models that caught my eye: Zenith EP pilot chrono, Eterna Soleure moonphase chrono (cheapest I've seen so far), plus a couple of Armand Nicolet and Perrelet watches.

buy her a coach bag, done.

Probably would be a better idea to get her a Gucci just in case biggrin.gif
Inquire at your local Coach boutique and see if they can replace the crystal (which I doubt).

20k rmb maybe equals 7-8k ringgit buying power although the exchange rate puts it at almost 10k. The luxury tax is ridiculously high.
Anyway if I had 20k to spend I would not go for those watches listed. A quartz Cartier? Maybe for the up and coming local official or small business man.

Safe to buy from this Chinese website? A lot of fake stuff from China.

It's not a sales website that's for sure. Yes a lot of fake stuff from China, but a lot of the genuine stuff originate from here too.

By country China may not be the largest consumer of a particular luxury brand, but that is only because many Chinese like to shop overseas where taxes are not as high and prices are attractive e.g. SEA, Europe, US.

Rolex is considered a poor rich man's watch here. Those with the real $$ naturally aim for the Big 3.

Casio is a perfectly fine brand for a watch. I started out with an Edifice too 5 years ago.
