Ah, back from short holiday; all refreshed and recharged for another day at LYN forums.

yup i really really starting to felt impatient now..but i went to many shops to find those things..especially the marker..all sold out..too bad for me...
or maybe u know anyone that can sell one to me..or you yourself..hehe
Oh, most of the shops don't have those kind of tools already? Hmm... anyway, this week I think I'll do another modelhunting excursion to the BB area, and maybe look out for availability of those tools. If I find any, I'll post the info here, 'kay?
And there's one thing I'd like to say about my Gundam Marker:
Wow. Why? Because this marker performance is just outstanding. I got this one back in early 1998, and after all the panel-lining done on my multiple PlaMos since I got it (not to mention other uses too: CD labeling, book marking and just some plain scribbling, heh)
the ink is still going strong. Man, talk about quality durability. You dont' see this kind of product reliability these days, that I'm sure of. I'm loving teh Gundam Marker!

. I always wonder when the ink will finally run out... when it does, I think I'll keep it and won't throw it away, as a sign of respect to its long and faithful service...
About the lining work, kamel; like kingkong81 said, just don't rush and practice doing the panel-linings. When I did it the first time, I too got messy results; especially on those small, 1/144 Gundam heads, felt like eating those heads in frustration when I didn't get it right, LOL. But soon you'll be able to master your hand movements. Just remember: don't do rush jobs. After all, this hobby teaches us the value of concentration and patience in doing our work.

perhaps its a bad thing about cosmic era, they wanted to potray mobile suits that is so tough to withstand beams (not without an I-field those days

) . Also whats more important is the fight battles, in UC battles are more exciting, one false move and we asked "he's dead?" , character utilizing space environments and surroundings as tactical advantage , also ,not so kiddies trash talk ( example ideology talk between amuro and char ) and best of all, protoganist mobile suits that can actually blow up
er is Gerbera Tetra GP04? which episode that appear one?
yea my gundam is outside, what worries me is the boxes, i kept them in cupboard , i don't wanna make them flat
another question (hardcore) , do u all keep the left over runners ? lol
erm one more thing, in gundam seed, i find it too colourful for my eyes. Some say its new anime quality, i mean, you don't need to blast a rainbow coloured beam from freedom
juz noticed this is the 1000th reply

Yep, in the UC universe, protagonists' MSs actually get damaged!

Unlike the always-pristine, stainless steel-grade aimbot that are SEED Gundams. All that laser spam battles, and not a single dent acquired! Unbelievable...

. In the UC universe, you can actually see battered, clunky and semi-functioning realisticly-damaged MSs, as seen in 08th MS Team and 0083. That what makes modeling UC MSs so much fun. All that battle damage and weathering. I don't think I've ever seen a weathered Gundam from SEED, it just won't seem right...

that's why like whoami123 said, hope Bandai'll make more UC PlaMo as well. UC allows moar creative modeling 'freedom' (LOL at the irony...)
And are you refering to the GP04G Gundam Gerbera? That particular Gundam can be considered an MSV, cause the 0083 anime only showcased up to the GP03S Gundam Stamen. The Gerbera I meant is the red AGX-04 Gerbera Tetra piloted by the awesome Cima Garahau in the last episode of 0083. The Gerbera Tetra is actually the Zeon-styled rebuilt of the abandoned GP04G prototype.
Well, I can't keep all my boxcovers as is; I have to open it flat, cause if I don't, my room might look like Litt Tak/DHL warehouse...

. But the plastic runners? Nah, I try to get rid of those (unless it can be used as extra material for some conversion/scratchbuild work), although if I could melt them all down into molds, I could definitely get
a lot of extra GunPla, LOL...
And about the flashy rampant colours of SEED MSs? Well, that is pretty much expected for a popular GunPla product line. When the original Gundam first aired, the colouration of the MSs can already be considered a tad bit too colourful for the 'realistic robot' concept. After all, the MS designs have to complement the sales of Gundam models as well, thus the toy-like attractive colours. Not to mention it is also a homage to its predecessor superrobot-era styling of flashy colouration. If it wasn't for the toyline, Tomino-sama would probably use standard military camouflage colours for the MSs, but a range of dust-coloured Gundams models would be pretty boring-looking, right? None of that trademark white-blue-red-yellow....
And finally we have entered the four-digit realm of posts for this thread! A 1000+ posts! That just shows how strong the presence of all mecha modelers here in LYN

. So keep it up, all!
To Duke Beard, thanks for the better explanation for Godevil's question about the MSiA, HCM Pro and GFF. We too learnt from it.
To dj898, about the comparison between just assembling and panel-lining, and full airbrush finishing, no doubt the airbrushed treatment is superior. It just all depends on the amount of skills and tools one has at his/her disposal. If possible, go ahead and do the full finishing on the PlaMos; if not, I think properly-done assembly and then just careful panel-lining (and maybe some extra Gundam Markers for extra colours) will do just fine.

And your RX-78-2 seems like it's trying to aggravate your Zeong, LOL. Makes me wanna post funny pictures, too.
