Sigh...decided to open and proceed making my red astray...cut off the antennas and took it to work with me...sanded it down to size and fit just great. Kept it in my shirt pocket and went out for lunch. came back and found that it is no longer in there... cry.gif

Anyone has a spare red frame or antenna ? Bendi or what so ever ??? I really hate this shirt...dunno why i go and wear it today... vmad.gif
Arghhh !!! I just hate such a thing...

how could u, be soo carelesss with your gundams vmad.gif
one of the most dissapointing thing is when those parts went gone...man i nearly bang my head once when my hyaku shiki antena dropped on the floor and couldn't find it rclxub.gif
but u, bring to work...increases the chance of theft...imagine the modding that can be done with that part whistling.gif

Got already mar...the OYW variant can be considered better than the RX 178 or the Zeta.

I say the details the best for any MG series.
*
ya well, but it still looks shabby to me, u got OYW? share ur experience tongue.gif
u mean the engineering actually surpass zeta v2 shocking.gif

ok no one steals plastics, but if a modeller sees it on the floor... drool.gif

Fodder Soldier:
Modelling mishaps are just..lovely biggrin.gif the process and concentration involved will determine the final output
For example i was building my Hyaki-Shiki at late night.. Kinda sleepy so i rushed to finish the body part. Around 2 hours later, i finished completing the body part
To my horror i mistakenly placed the polycaps insertion point to the opposite way...so theres no way for me to join the hands with the body icon_question.gif
with frustration, i need to open back the body to ammend the changes but the structure is tight shut with most parts snapped in firmly. Thinking of the actions i must do to save this model, i decided to use a screw driver and snap it out
Tried inserting screw driver into the body part and causes alot of damages to the body part..oww like opening my body, the pain...ya know u need courage to screw up your model flex.gif
in the end i broke a few joints but manage to undone my mistake. Well although it is now not perfect, but at least i get to join my model hands to its body , the satisfaction rclxm9.gif

oh and also another funny experience, while sticking decals for my hyaku shiki, i ended up sticking only partial of the decal, as i was noob with decals
the remainders of the decals could not fit well and i also accidenly squash off the remainders of the decals...so it went "OMG" its gone
so i had to use my creativity...erm rewrite the word hyaku with my gundam marker doh.gif

QUOTE(Balthasar @ May 12 2006, 03:15 PM)
My oppinon on the OYW RX-78 is anytime better than my Zeta. I'm still disappointed with it. The OYW has lotsa details and joints fit in tightly...if u tilt it horizontally, the legs wont wobble....at all unlike the 178 and zeta V2. which has some fitting problems.
*
really, i know due to the fact the RX-78 is quite sturdy with simple design but highly detailed parts. This is why i love zaku too, things fit in juz nicely. Extra weaponry are much incorporated in the designs of the older models.

Do u mean Zeta v2 ? wow thats first negative feedback for Zeta v2 i've heard lol. If its V1 u are referring, then well, i understand tongue.gif . Alot ppl are dissapointed with v1 too.

take for example the blue frame 2nd L, it has quite complicated design, especially the face which is really loosey and it falls off nearly everytime i touch it. Anyone had Perfect Gundam MG? i think it is quite cool to get one, but wanna know the posebility when it is in RX-78 form . And since some model removed the core block it is quite sad, coz for me its some of the cool features i've wanted.

I quite LOLed at the MG Gyan news, didn't forsee that the obvious joke seen in Keroro Gunso ep5 (Keroro cited it's the "maboroshi GunPLa", hee hee... indeed...  biggrin.gif ) actually came to existence now... But look at those mechanical details! *drools...*

And the Strike Noir looks quite fun, especially with those cable thingy...
*
i actually saw the keroro ep5 after MG Gyan was out and i was...wtf..keroro so updated tongue.gif

Namco merged with Bandai to form BandaiNamco. It's been that since several months ago already

Expect to see moar of it thesedays.
*
yes i though it was good old news, but no, at this very moment i can see the quality of their works becoming more of a 'gold mine' scheme
with the recent seed line of product, perhaps the upcoming product will end up with more mix-n-match formula of basic models. Although all these years its all been also like that, but the difference level between each model is clear and easily distinguished, which i believe why most fans still hold strong with the series and the level of story depths it brings

while lining the face, quite hard for me, at the end had to buy the marker remover sweat.gif

yeah, the finger technique is actually much faster  doh.gif
but like u said, there are parts where the finger and eraser cant reach.

how much does a marker remover cost? Izzit stated as marker remover or it is stated in serial no like the black marker? maybe i'll go and get them tomoro.
*
umm..im not at home now..i think it is GM500 or something..
a fully white marker
i got it at rm12..dem expensive...for the sake of hobby icon_rolleyes.gif
however the marker remover isnt really perfect, color can mix into the pen head, need to do regular maintenance by pressing the mixed color out

That's y I got myself a recast kit, which is around 50%-40% of the original price. And the MG models, can use bendi mah coz just need the frame.
*
say mind to explain what recast kits is all about?
if you gonna spend that much and end up using a * ahem bendi frame, will it be worth it?

recast kit is just that, Recasted resin kits from the original resin kit.
Due to the inherent nature of the mould you can only cast limited number of resin parts off the mould. Hence the high price for resin kits compared to injection kits that you can press out in far far greater number than resin kit - we are talking about the silicon mould Vs Metal mould  ^ ^;

recast is taking those the parts from the original resin kits and make the mould yourself to pour and take the another cast off the new mould. The quality of recast really depends on the experience and materials used for recasting. Some recast are even better then the original with minor errors on the original fixed in the recasting...

Try not to get the recast from TH as they use very britle material for casting.
HK recast on the other hand supposedly better in quality though I have no experience with HK recast. Only recast I used were those doen by some of Korean modellers for other community members (resin hand)...
*
absolutely cool explanation there rclxms.gif
sounds like i need to get some recast kit too drool.gif

btw this thing..

1/100 MG Aile Strike Gundam vs. 1/100 MG Z Plus C1.

Which would be better?
*
i think both are different category of gundam..not really comparable

the 1/100 MG Z Plus C1 is a transformable unit, cool colour but i would recolor it imho tongue.gif ,uniquely for space battle diorama

while other other hand vibrant color 1/100 MG Aile Strike Gundam is much more poseble (comes with a display stand + 1/100 figure of kira yamato ) but it is with sturdier frame and heftier pricetag

if you're new , recommend you the 1/100 MG Aile Strike Gundam thumbup.gif

OK...because I've orignally wanted a CE-verse model...although C1 have more fun in it being a transformable suit.
*
well if u want transformable suit, why not go for zeta gundam v2? although the price is..ahem..expensive tongue.gif
well transformation practice for older units is not that safe i heard, because as u know gundams aren't made of die cast like transformer for easier transformation
anyhow, juz make your choice, remember to post pic here after assemble thumbup.gif

i understand , all hobby should start from small, no need to rush tongue.gif
well let me ask, have you watched zeta gundam or gundam seed?
i think if you have seen the series, the impact of love for the model would be deeper
am i right veterans? rclxms.gif
