Hi Dear, I was having the same problem as yours along these years.
I have tried umpteen ways to remove hair, from pluck, shave, cream shave, epilator to wax..none of them is working!

Few months back I decided to go for IPL hair removal treatment. I was told to have at least minimum 3 sessions every 6 weeks.
My first session result wasn't good, so after 6 weeks later I went down to have second session. Hair grows thinner after 2 weeks. But cos my situation is different as I have thicker hair, so need few more sessions.
I just had my 4th session, I don't have to shave everyday now, also fairer and smoother skin!

Seriously, I have never been so happy before!!!

I'll still need to go down for my 5th session again after 2months.

I'd suggest to go for IPL. I personally not recommend epilator as it hurts your skin and have lot of bumps.
Cos I was using epilator past few years, my underarm skin condition is not good. But now is improving after my IPL treatment!
Hope this help~ smile.gif

I did at an Aesthetic clinic in Singapore but I believe you can find a lot of the same clinics in M'sia biggrin.gif

It costs me SGD100 per session. The good thing about mine is there is NO COURSE COMMITMENT REQUIRED! biggrin.gif
So if you only need 1 session then you don't need to go down anymore for my doctor..hehe~! drool.gif

My case, I need more treatments, but I did gather a lot of reviews, some people might only need 2 sessions and they are free of hair!

But if you really intend to do IPL treatment, you are not allowed to pluck or epilate anymore as it will worse the condition.
So normal shaver w/o cream which can be found in any watson/guardian will do.

Everytime you've done the treatment, do not exercise, shave, sweat too much and apply any cream or deodorant onto the skin, wait until 24 hours later smile.gif smile.gif

TS, just to share this deal I came across today.
http://www.groupon.my/deals/klang-valley-k...318&a=715827975

I went for e-Light treatments as well and had immediate results after the first treatment. Also bought through Groupon type of deals. But the deal above is very much more cheaper, not sure how it works though and it seems need to finish 12 sessions within 3 months. Call the salon for more info if you're interested before buying. They will most likely ask you to top up a few hundred bucks to get better results and extend the validity period (at least that's what the saloon I went to did).

I started going once a month and after my 5th treatment, I go once in 1.5-2 months. My underarm hair used to be very thick and grows out very fast. If I shave, I have to shave everyday. So I epilate and I still need to epilate every 3-5 days. Now I can go to the beach for a week without bringing a shaver or my epilator and still come home without visible underarm hair. The hair grows thinner and growth is very very much slower after each session. From what I was told, it does have a whitening effect as well. I do see the results and is very happy that I tried out e-Light treatments.

Honestly speaking, this deal is very very cheap. I bought mine about half a year ago. It was in some beauty salon in sunway area, I think around RM300 for 10 sessions large area (can choose from armpit, leg, bikini area, etc). I chooses armpit cause I seriously cannot tahan armpit hair keep growing out. The girl told me to top up another RM500 for extra e-Light hits per session to see better result and I did. And after around 2-3 sessions, I don't even remember when was the last time I shaved lol. But once you start the treatment, you cannot pluck anymore cause it seems that it'll grow back if we pluck.

Definitely go for laser hair removal. I did it 5 years ago and I'm still hairless now! I never even think about armpit hair any more.

Hi, I always pluck my armpit hair. The most it can stand is around 4-5 days then it grow back. Does it mean plucking make it grow faster? unsure.gif

but if got one hair or two, also don't pluck? means have to depend on the treatment for life? or after treatment the hair would never grow hmm.gif

Don't think so. I used to pluck as well because I don't like to shave. Somehow scared of razors lol. Then bought an epilator but I'll only be hair-free for about 1-2 days then the hair will be visible (but can't epilate doh.gif) so can't wear sleeveless tops until I epilate in a few days time.

It's a treatment for permanent hair removal. What it does is that it makes the hair much finer and slow the growth of hair. Was told not to pluck but to shave whenever I see the hair comes out.
Yea there will be one or two sometimes that will still come out but not obvious cause the hair is really fine. Now I just shave whenever I feel that it is growing too long, this can be once in about 3-4 weeks time. Currently, the last I shaved was 18th Nov before I went for my diving trip, until now I haven't touch the shaver yet and the hair is still not visible.

According to the salon girl, it will last after some session. But it depends on individual as well, something about hormones and stuff that will affect the growth of armpit hair. There is also a slight pain factor when doing the e-Light treatment so some people can't stand it and request for a lower energy then it'll take longer time to see the permanent effects. It seems it's quite a new technology which combines IPL and radiofrequency hair removal methods, so far most of her customers has told her that the results are very long lasting.

sorry off topic a bit...

usually how do you girls manage to shave?
i was never able shave successfully, coz maybe the surface is 'not smooth'?

I used to shave but yes, maybe because of the inconsistent surface, I always have some minor cut plus the hair grow faster after shave. sad.gif
Then I switch to plucking which last me for few days. But just like what munkeyflo said, it is affected by our hormone. If I'm not mistaken those who have higher testosterone will have thicker hair and higher growth rate. So myself take light hormone pill(estrogen) and the effect is quite good. smile.gif

I never liked shaving either, doesn't seem to work when I have lots of hair cause the roots can still be seen. Can still see lots of black dots all over.

Personally, I prefer epilator. I shaved before, it turns to many black dots, I thinks its ingrown hair.. sad.gif But now I epilate and exfoliate d, its whiter d smile.gif I think IPL would works even better, but I can't afford it, maybe try saving money.. hehe smile.gif
