Tried using an epilator? Pluck each hair out yourself. Waxing didn't really work for me either.

I went for e-Light treatments and the hair grows out very fine and slow now. It's suppose to be one of the method of permanent hair removal. Had very obvious effects after the 1st treatment. Maybe you should give it a try.

TS, just to share this deal I came across today.
http://www.groupon.my/deals/klang-valley-k...318&a=715827975

I went for e-Light treatments as well and had immediate results after the first treatment. Also bought through Groupon type of deals. But the deal above is very much more cheaper, not sure how it works though and it seems need to finish 12 sessions within 3 months. Call the salon for more info if you're interested before buying. They will most likely ask you to top up a few hundred bucks to get better results and extend the validity period (at least that's what the saloon I went to did).

I started going once a month and after my 5th treatment, I go once in 1.5-2 months. My underarm hair used to be very thick and grows out very fast. If I shave, I have to shave everyday. So I epilate and I still need to epilate every 3-5 days. Now I can go to the beach for a week without bringing a shaver or my epilator and still come home without visible underarm hair. The hair grows thinner and growth is very very much slower after each session. From what I was told, it does have a whitening effect as well. I do see the results and is very happy that I tried out e-Light treatments.

just want to know, how much was your treatment?

Honestly speaking, this deal is very very cheap. I bought mine about half a year ago. It was in some beauty salon in sunway area, I think around RM300 for 10 sessions large area (can choose from armpit, leg, bikini area, etc). I chooses armpit cause I seriously cannot tahan armpit hair keep growing out. The girl told me to top up another RM500 for extra e-Light hits per session to see better result and I did. And after around 2-3 sessions, I don't even remember when was the last time I shaved lol. But once you start the treatment, you cannot pluck anymore cause it seems that it'll grow back if we pluck.

Hi, I always pluck my armpit hair. The most it can stand is around 4-5 days then it grow back. Does it mean plucking make it grow faster? unsure.gif

Don't think so. I used to pluck as well because I don't like to shave. Somehow scared of razors lol. Then bought an epilator but I'll only be hair-free for about 1-2 days then the hair will be visible (but can't epilate doh.gif) so can't wear sleeveless tops until I epilate in a few days time.

but if got one hair or two, also don't pluck? means have to depend on the treatment for life? or after treatment the hair would never grow  hmm.gif

It's a treatment for permanent hair removal. What it does is that it makes the hair much finer and slow the growth of hair. Was told not to pluck but to shave whenever I see the hair comes out.
Yea there will be one or two sometimes that will still come out but not obvious cause the hair is really fine. Now I just shave whenever I feel that it is growing too long, this can be once in about 3-4 weeks time. Currently, the last I shaved was 18th Nov before I went for my diving trip, until now I haven't touch the shaver yet and the hair is still not visible.

According to the salon girl, it will last after some session. But it depends on individual as well, something about hormones and stuff that will affect the growth of armpit hair. There is also a slight pain factor when doing the e-Light treatment so some people can't stand it and request for a lower energy then it'll take longer time to see the permanent effects. It seems it's quite a new technology which combines IPL and radiofrequency hair removal methods, so far most of her customers has told her that the results are very long lasting.

I never liked shaving either, doesn't seem to work when I have lots of hair cause the roots can still be seen. Can still see lots of black dots all over.

Don't know about IPL but eLight is slightly painful when they do it. But it's nothing compared to plucking bikini line hair.

Depends on individual pain tolerance level also.
