For me, I have iPad 3 64GB LTE version. I am really happy with it and don't feel the over-heating issue at all. I use it everyday at least 3-4 hours for work and stuff and some gaming when I'm bored.

The main issue here is that I won't get the iPad 4 because it will come preloaded with iOS 6. I need my iPad to be jailbroken, not for the free apps but for the tweaks that I am using.

Maybe the only time I will ever think of upgrading is if my iPad is spoilt or stolen (touch wood).

Added on November 14, 2012, 10:18 amI have an estimate of 85+ books in iBooks and around 30+ pdf files ranging from 1mb to 10mb. Instantaneous start for iBooks and about 2 secs for loading all the books and another 1 sec for it to start the last-read book.
