I have an estimate of 85+ books in iBooks and around 30+ pdf files ranging from 1mb to 10mb. Instantaneous start for iBooks and about 2 secs for loading all the books and another 1 sec for it to start the last-read book.

I myself feel a bit warmonger my ipad after long time of web browsing, perhaps I set my brightness too bright? Haha.
Btw, really wish Apple released a6x for us back in march doh.gif

I think the heat is from the screen as well as the huge battery itself. Btw, what about browsing for 30mins? Will it become warm @ 50% brightness?

Some people might even not aware of the iPad 4 hardware upgrade. They just thought Apple changed the name and that's why it is not that famous smile.gif Some even mis-thought the Mini iPad is iPad 4 tongue.gif

BTW, i think another reason iPad mini is hotter in demand because it is a new product, compared to full size iPad which existed 2 years ago

According to anandtech ipad 4 still run hot just like ipad 3 while gaming or while the processor is really being pushed.
However, the warm issue is not that obvious at normal usage like web browsing.

I'm still thinking this ipad 4 worth my money to upgrade or not hmm.gif I need some1 to compare the battery life between ipad 3 and ipad 4 tongue.gif

Ya, I agree with u, sometimes I just feel like my ipad 3 is a bit lag. I think maybe the a5x is not that powerful for the retina display, but overall it is still ok la smile.gif

Ya, it is a no brainer to choose ipad 4 over ipad 3 if ones is buying their first ipad. But, I personally don't think it is worth to upgrade from ipad 3 to ipad 4.

1. 50% display brightness
2. cellular / wifi is always on

If you are upgrading from iPad 3, yea it is not worth. If you are upgrading from iPad 2 or lower, it is worth smile.gif If you are first timer and never had an iPad before, this is a very wise decision to take the iPad 4 smile.gif

p/s iPad 5 i am suspecting will definitely have a new design + thinner + lighter + A7x ( Quad Core ?) tongue.gif

Ya, indeed the code name is still under iPad 3 despite Apple chose to call it iPad 4. It seems more like an Ipad 3s to me. But no worries, if your ipad have a geekbench mark of 1700 something, that is definitely an ipad 4 smile.gif
