1. Brand: Samsung/ HTC/ Sony
2. Budget: RM 1.2k
3. Specs: Screen size if possible large as Samsung S3.
4. What you need in the phone: Durable. I'm not the one who will change phone every year. Just normal text, call, browsing, and capturing picture.

Thanks...

d1 quad should be d quad xl / d1 quad
gsmarena stating it as d quad xl
http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_ascend_d_quad_xl-4569.php

while lowyat.net stating it as d1 quad
http://www.lowyat.net/2012/12/20/2599/firs...ascend-d1-quad/

yet, off course all of them support 3g, is smartphone, not tablet

So quad and quad XL are the same huh? I thought like S3 and S3 mini. biggrin.gif

Only D1 using quad core.. thumbup.gif
Other all dual core

How's the quality? The support? I know that Huawei are famous for their broadband modem. But for phone, still I'm a bit skeptical. I own Note 2 for now and need a second phone.

As a ex Huawei honor user, I would suggest you NOT to take Huawei as their software support sucks. I have been stuck with a buggy ics 4.0.1, which crash and reboot randomly. The hardware is not that good, my phone got some problem with the line.. Sometimes on and off.

Their service center is so dodgy, it's a small room on top of a Chinese shop.. Not professional at all.

This is my experience. You want to buy, go ahead. Then try the Huawei "experience"

Thanks for sharing. I think I just go with Galaxy Nexus as I heard their support are really good. I don't really mind duo vs quad since I already own a Note 2. BTW, my Note signal strength are not really good too. Any relation with different rom? My friend use Note 1 but he don't face any problem with signal.

Overall not bad, of course can't compare to note 2 lah..
wat u pay then wat u get

I'm not looking for as good as Note 2 but at least have good support etc. How about HTC? Is it good compare to Samsung or Nexus phone?

From my experience using Samsung/HTC/Sony, i will avoid HTC....Why ?? Battery suxs, always softbrick...
Samsung, its just ok-ok, win-win situation...All is normal but sometimes laggy too much...
Sony, my last android phone, stop until this brand...Camera quality is the best, screen full HD qualifies me..Software stability and compatibility at its best...

Its from my perspective...No hardfeelings to those fanboys notworthy.gif

Actually, I'm quite interested with Sony but after few moment with them, I'm really disappointed. Used to own X10 and X8, they just leave the phone like that and no update and focus on higher end phone only.

I wonder how Sony treat their other X series nowadays. I might reconsider Sony if they change to treat all the phone as equal. What I love about Samseng and Google is very strong support either you like to play with ROM or not.

So, what Sony within my budget, RM 1.2k? Thanks...

Thats old Ericsson...Now its just Sony itself...Update support is doing good, to me...Jelly bean is coming this Feb-March..Sony within your budget would be Xperia T/TX....

Xperia T/TX with 4.6" FullHD Screen, 1GB Ram, 1.5Ghz DualCore Snapdragon S4...Sound is too good with all the new sound engine and camera 13Mp with ExmorR....

Owh, different Sony? Silly me, mobile noob. T and TX same spec? Sorry asking a stupid question However googling return me this:

Sony Xperia T/TX, all these are high end models from Sony....JellyBean is just around the corner...

Both have almost similar spec...

1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8260-A Dual Core
Adreno 225
1 GB RAM
16 GB Internal Storage
microSD expansion slot, up to 32 GB
4.6", 1280 x 720 pixels (323 ppi) scratch-resistant TFT LCD
HD Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine
13MP camera with LED flash, Sony Exmor™ R for mobile, HD 1080p video recording
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
TX (1750mAh removable Batt) T(1850mAh non-removable Batt)

Both nearly the same...Google the spec in GSMarena...

That's why I ask. Thanks anyway. So, what is the difference between T & TX? From you given spec, T should have longer life time right?

It should be, yes...Actually to me its just the same... nod.gif

The tempting part about those two are the S4 chipset...It should give you more wise battery management...
