I dont see why some guys here has problem buying it from Google Play - the transaction went smoothly , no hiccups, no waiting , no hang etc etc
I bought 2 units 16 Gb for my friends who are desperate to have it at any price. Anyway is still cheap at US$349+10% extra for comegateway charges + 100 RM for Sirim , total costs for 2 units is just RM 2400
Put in another RM 100 transport costs for me to go to JB pay Sirim and clear it out from customs
So nett cost/phone is just RM 1250 plus rm60 delivery

Just go to nearest sirim center QAS dept n show your purchase details can be email confirmation, product arrival notice from courier n bring a printout copy of product specs ( from web is OK) just to show product specs
Fill up 3 simple forms pay rm100 n you will get the sirim permit within an hour

Yeah, super smooth today.  No hangups,  got into payment checkout page pretty effortlessly.  Nexus 4 16gb still available on play store but quotes 4-5 weeks delivery.

Benny, can I ask about sirim? The 3 unit sirim quota is per shipment or per person I.e. can I import another 3 units in another shipment later under the same name?

Thanks
*
3 units per single permit in a single shipment
I don't think there is any time limit to apply nor any number of permits one can apply

No ETA time for Nexus 4 in Malaysia?

Btw, how to purchase through google play and does it deliver to Sarawak? Thanks.

Do read page past 2-3 pages, several users already said how to do it
Basically use a VPN service to access USA Google Playstore ( I used privatetunnelvpn, which cost me US$15 for 50 GB , a very worthwhile VPN package for me ) . You can try using other free VPN service
Sign up account at say comgateway.com or hotshopgo and use their website and you will be guided fully how to purchase and make delivery to any country outside USA. I will not repeat the details here as it has been repeated several times. Or simply google " how to purchase stuffs from Playstore USA from a non USA country"

Uncle Benny, about the sirim permit,

- after you have gotten it, do you need to hand a copy to the courier company or you can give them the permit number over the phone?
*
The SIRIM permit must be submitted to custom dept. They will check it against your package details and keep the SIRIM permit
That was my walkin handson experience at Johor Baru ( 2 times phone from UK and one time tablet from USA)
If you find all these too much hassle just pay the courier company ( eg poslaju) about RM 50 as service charge and they will do everything for you. But no idea whether all courier companies will have such service - if your parcel landed in Msia POSLAJU hands definitely they will /can do for you for RM50

4-5 weeks.. hurm.. i think for the much cheaper price.. its worth the wait.. for people who willing to wait for malaysia launch its ok then.. but i dont think the price will be any cheaper.. like what happen in spain.. and some other countries that does not have full google play contents.. even non contracted t-mobile units sell higher price than google play store in the us.. and in my opinion.. malaysia launch will be delayed because of this high demand issue.. just an opinion..

Dont think is high demand. NEXUS was never a big seller - it is only limited production quantities and the initial demand is only an illusion

In my case, DHL does it all for me in Penang. I only submit my SIRIM permit and they do the clearance for me.

What is the additional charges from DHL if any. Previously one of my phone shipment FEDEX wants me to pay also RM 50

I believe there is something more behind the cracked glass
It will be similar to exploding S3 when charge in car
We will never know the exact circumstances behind it
I don't think google will approve such a quality defect for their flagship phone
