I use tamiya spray cans and acrylic for paint, and rubbing compound, thats about it. Others like tape, sandpaper, all from various hardware stores. I would probably get a SLR next month after dapat gaji.

actually did u guys calculate the amount of $$$ u guys spent on model cars, the price can get u 1 basic airbrush n compressor?

rather than u hav so many model cars, but the output/finishing sux.....

i belief cham2020, u saw those master finished model car b4, u try to compare your work n theirs 1, big difference or not?

u can also achieve the same level, if u willing to spent on the right tools....

keep on using the same tools or technique, will not move u forward...

this is my point of view...hope u guys can understand....

but many pro modelers that i met before in singapore all did by using can sprays......how do you explain that?

problem now is how you handle the can spray and how you control it.....
seems like you put a death spell cast on people who use can sprays.........

progress yes.......
modeling have lots of various techniques that you can implement..esp on finishing....
the way you wetsand the model is very important so you don't overtake, finishing is good
but all these can be achieve by can sprays also.......

marker pens, color pencils, normal wet gel pens....i use them all in modeling......
brushes to detail up small details....how you modify parts.....

that's my view

orite, then to be honest, u happy with your work? u dare to show it to the public? n u willing to accept critic?

i never said spray can cannot be use, but then the brand n type of spray can u used, it's no meant for modelling use...that's y the output is so thick.

Added on March 7, 2008, 7:42 pmif fact, when u use tamiya spray can...in which 1 bottle can cost u rm30 for roughly 1 car, max for 2 model car usage....

if u bought 10 bottles, oredi cost u rm300....

then in comparison, 1 basic dual action airbrush will cost u rm100, then a basic compressor rm350+....

after that, 1 bottle of paint onli cost u rm5, for that 1 bottle, u can paint almost 3-4models car...

do the maths youself, which options is more economical?

as long as i am happy with the output that's fine with me.......

i showed my models to other people also..
i even brought them to car meet ups at singapore....
i been critic even by bibendumz, sty, Kenneth , druid they all, Agrillion they all..
i am OK with it...as long the output is good and have improvement.....they give me + and -
critics

so what's the problem there?

i failed my mathes so i don't know how to calculate ( not sarcastic, but it's truth, my mathes sucks)
and thanks for telling me , master sunnyboy........

you are my new master after druid and kenneth
