At the moment, Yes. I would agree we need Walcott more than Sterling.

We need a striker, a versatile and pacey winger who can play anywhere in the front three, more importantly we need goals. And walcott at the moment offers more end products than Sterling.

i dont see why are we forced to trade sterling with walcott. arsenal will be forced to sell walcott on the cheap, january will be their last chance before walcott walk bosman.i know we need walcott but we can't let other clubs take us as a fool again.

The 2 possible reason why Walcott did not sign the contract is that he wanted to play as a central striker or he demands 100k p/w

Yeah i wouldnt trade sterling for walcot though it seemed like a good deal. Sterling is one of the two best player on the pitch for liverpool. I would have renewed his contract by now if i am br as a reward. He was outanding for the team and nobody would complain if he was given a raise. I would just get charlton cole this january and another defender and should suffice for liverpool this season.

People tend to overlook how young Carroll and Henderson are. While only a deluded person can claim that they have been playing, they do still have a long future ahead of them. If we were to call it like we see it, they do not justify their transfer fees at the moment, that much is clear but it is to soon to say that they will amount to nothing over the course of their careers. Henderson in particular, I see benefitting from spending time on the bench and playing sporadically. I think he was thrust into the thick of action too soon considering that expectations of a player's ability at Anfield are higher than at the Stadium of Light.

Adam like you said came on the cheap and looks to be worth what we paid for him in today's market. Downing has been a Downer.

I've no idea what Hodgson saw in Poulsen, Cole and Konchesky in particular. All were past their prime and in their 30's.

I understood the need to find a replacement for Mascherano and really wonder how much attention we paid when scouting Poulsen. Did we even monitor him or did we just read his report card? He was constantly off the pace and sluggish in possession. I reckon Jay Spearing would have done a better job or possibly even Damien Plessis who had a few games under his belt. He did bring experience to the side but if you don't earn the respect of your teammates, it's difficult to exert your influence.

I shudder to think what Rafa would do with a team that has Torres, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Ramires, Cole & Cech. For his benefit, I hope he does well until the end of the season.

In my opinion, Rafa isn't too dissimilar from Mourinho when it comes to tactics. Both managers set their teams up so they are hard to break down. Nothing epitomises this more than the way we set up to beat Barcelona at the Nou Camp. I believe Mourinho did the same.

In terms of being plastic, this is as you know in reference to the plastic flags that were given out at the bridge when you lot played us in the Champions League. Has nothing to do with wanting glory. Has to do with only caring about glory.

I'm actually torn between supporting Rafa to win but also want MC to win coz I can't visualize QPR  beating MU this weekend (unless Cisse plays a blinder). But I'd go for Rafa for sentiment (& Torres as well). I think he will have a bit leeway if he lose this weekend but expect pressure to mount further if he don't get a result after 2 weeks on the job.

I agree with Terry. Pep is not gonna join them for RM1000 per week. He's gonna ask for $150K pounds per week perhaps and 5-year deal
