QUOTE(solstice818 @ Nov 18 2012, 06:26 PM) Quoting back my old post last week. 25 Nov 2012 Barclays Premier League Swansea A 13:30 I said we should win at least 4 of these. We have won 1 now, lets see if we can carry on winning the rest. This one is not so easy.......... Added on November 19, 2012, 8:13 am QUOTE(chaukeng @ Nov 18 2012, 11:18 PM) At the moment, Yes. I would agree we need Walcott more than Sterling. Have you watched the combi of Suarez and Sterling? We need a striker, a versatile and pacey winger who can play anywhere in the front three, more importantly we need goals. And walcott at the moment offers more end products than Sterling. How many assists have Sterling produced? Added on November 19, 2012, 8:16 am QUOTE(jacckl @ Nov 19 2012, 12:17 AM) i dont see why are we forced to trade sterling with walcott. arsenal will be forced to sell walcott on the cheap, january will be their last chance before walcott walk bosman.i know we need walcott but we can't let other clubs take us as a fool again. This.....we can wait. Arsenal cant..........This post has been edited by prophetjul: Nov 19 2012, 08:16 AM |

QUOTE(Corrupted Spirits @ Nov 19 2012, 08:46 AM) The 2 possible reason why Walcott did not sign the contract is that he wanted to play as a central striker or he demands 100k p/w It 'appears' Suarez is BR's No.9. So NO, Walcott will not get to play that position at Liverpool.Liverpool willing to let him play at center or paying that type of wages? If he comes in during the summer, 100k is no problem with the transfer fee gone. This post has been edited by prophetjul: Nov 19 2012, 09:21 AM |

QUOTE(Rhicebowl @ Nov 19 2012, 02:36 PM) Yeah i wouldnt trade sterling for walcot though it seemed like a good deal. Sterling is one of the two best player on the pitch for liverpool. I would have renewed his contract by now if i am br as a reward. He was outanding for the team and nobody would complain if he was given a raise. I would just get charlton cole this january and another defender and should suffice for liverpool this season. They ARE negotiating Sterling's contract.....carlton cole? No thanks..........i rather Miroslav Klose..........if we had the $$$$$........Schurrle |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Nov 19 2012, 03:59 PM) Read news that BR wanna bring him back for 5m! Not sure if it's worth it... Well, he prefer not to extend the contract with us and left on free, now we have to pay 5m to get him back. Shitty way of dealings from the board as always. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 21 2012, 10:07 AM) People tend to overlook how young Carroll and Henderson are. While only a deluded person can claim that they have been playing, they do still have a long future ahead of them. If we were to call it like we see it, they do not justify their transfer fees at the moment, that much is clear but it is to soon to say that they will amount to nothing over the course of their careers. Henderson in particular, I see benefitting from spending time on the bench and playing sporadically. I think he was thrust into the thick of action too soon considering that expectations of a player's ability at Anfield are higher than at the Stadium of Light. Yes...Carroll and Hendo are still young men. Adam like you said came on the cheap and looks to be worth what we paid for him in today's market. Downing has been a Downer. I've no idea what Hodgson saw in Poulsen, Cole and Konchesky in particular. All were past their prime and in their 30's. Poulsen i believe was a stop gap for Masch. But Noone expected him to be like the Titanic! Having said that, he is now featuring with another reject in Ryan Babel in the Ajax team which beat Mancity! How? |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 21 2012, 11:58 AM) I understood the need to find a replacement for Mascherano and really wonder how much attention we paid when scouting Poulsen. Did we even monitor him or did we just read his report card? He was constantly off the pace and sluggish in possession. I reckon Jay Spearing would have done a better job or possibly even Damien Plessis who had a few games under his belt. He did bring experience to the side but if you don't earn the respect of your teammates, it's difficult to exert your influence. Yes.in hindsight.......... But like i said Poulsen and Babel beat the Mancsity |

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Nov 22 2012, 10:29 AM) I shudder to think what Rafa would do with a team that has Torres, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Ramires, Cole & Cech. For his benefit, I hope he does well until the end of the season. |

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Nov 22 2012, 11:34 AM) Didn't you see the highlights... Rafa is going to find out who the REAL manager at Chelse is.........the Ruskie Mobster "Chelsea's failure to qualify final rounds in CL this season > Blame Rafa "ever since joining chelsea, Torres isn't scoring" > blame Rafa "All managers got sacked at Chelsea (incl Jose M)" > Rafa's fault FACT More facts are being drowned up to blame Rafa. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 23 2012, 09:37 AM) In my opinion, Rafa isn't too dissimilar from Mourinho when it comes to tactics. Both managers set their teams up so they are hard to break down. Nothing epitomises this more than the way we set up to beat Barcelona at the Nou Camp. I believe Mourinho did the same. This was also VERY plasticky.......... In terms of being plastic, this is as you know in reference to the plastic flags that were given out at the bridge when you lot played us in the Champions League. Has nothing to do with wanting glory. Has to do with only caring about glory. ![]() |

QUOTE(terryfu @ Nov 23 2012, 10:55 AM) I'm actually torn between supporting Rafa to win but also want MC to win coz I can't visualize QPR beating MU this weekend (unless Cisse plays a blinder). But I'd go for Rafa for sentiment (& Torres as well). I think he will have a bit leeway if he lose this weekend but expect pressure to mount further if he don't get a result after 2 weeks on the job. |

QUOTE(dillonyong @ Nov 23 2012, 11:45 AM) I agree with Terry. Pep is not gonna join them for RM1000 per week. He's gonna ask for $150K pounds per week perhaps and 5-year deal At $150k p week? no way Peps gonna join them UNLESSThen, he can sit down, relax and sip whisky. If his team dont perform, it's ok, he can walk away a rich man. I envy his agent. Should have pursue a career in becoming player's agent. hehehe its Sterling150k p week AFTER TAXES.........Taxes in Uk are around 50%...... |

Another opportunity to close the gap gone! Its so so frustrating.........
Our Attacking midfield is Very average.......our dependance on Luis and Sterling is Very obvious. Tie those two up and you would have prevented possible Liverpool goals. Out of the midfielders, who have goals oin their boots? hardly.... Yesterday we had Enrique, Henderson, Stevie, Allen......how many goals do you see there? Even goals form Stevie's drying up. The others: Suso, Jonjo, Sahin, Lucas....how many goals do you see there? Only from Jonjo... We need goals from attacking midfielders....thats has been our problem for manayears now....
