QUOTE(b00n @ Oct 30 2012, 10:10 PM)
Haha, you are a funny chap. Then what are going to do, sit by the table for days, weeks, months because you have your own reasoning and I have mine?! Hence am glad that I am seen to be rude to help you have a life if Indeed this happened in real life.
*
Oh, you will leave the table eventually, rude or not. It's just that you will never understand my passion over issues like this behind the monitor.

QUOTE(WhatMan @ Oct 30 2012, 10:11 PM)
I find it funny that he talks about how people should be civil, yet civil itself is based of rules of live that we follow.

Oh wait, rule is dictationship!
*
Except that in this forum, the civility is only equivalent to whether they should ignore your opinions and questions, or not.

QUOTE(teongpeng @ Oct 30 2012, 10:11 PM)
maybe u oughta learn to respect other ppl's decision to not be involved?
*
Which is why I not questioning the freedom of choice. I am questioning the rationality and morality behind the choice.

QUOTE(prasys @ Oct 30 2012, 10:12 PM)
Congrats on your promotion
*
QUOTE(wKkaY @ Oct 30 2012, 10:13 PM)
I have done the needful and promoted him to be an Honorary Admin, while demoting all the others to regular members. I only hope that he can grace us with his wisdom of forum administration matters.
*
I understand your sarcasm. But it is not what I want.

QUOTE(teongpeng @ Oct 30 2012, 10:13 PM)
yeah but what if others dont share your passion?
*
They will do the inevitable, which is to leave. Like I said, I am not seeking for a satisfactory discussion. I am seeking for an existence of a discussion.

But isn't that what you are asking for all the while. So we did give you what you wanted after all
*
Nope. I do not seek such privilege. I seek justice.

QUOTE(teongpeng @ Oct 30 2012, 10:23 PM)
have u ever talk to someone in real life who go on and on about a topic u're not interested in at all and wish he would just STFU? well in this case who is the one being rude here?

a)the sympathetic listener who pretends to be interested.
b)ppl who talk and insist someone listen to his topic even when he rather be somewhere else.
*
Nope. Like I said, they will not be forced to stay. But I will expect them to at least show up.

QUOTE(happy_berry @ Oct 30 2012, 10:27 PM)
LOL @ superficial admin tag.. Damn, you mods are mean.. I almost feel sorry for ts..
*
In real life, those things don't matter when you are pursuing to stand for what it is right.

QUOTE(teongpeng @ Oct 30 2012, 10:28 PM)
thats like leaving a forum discussion then, no? unsure.gif

and what does them showing up prove?
*
Civility, and the willingness to correct the wrong. It may be fruitless, but it is how I give credit at least to the willingness to show up.

QUOTE(wKkaY @ Oct 30 2012, 10:29 PM)
You're an admin. Just order what you want. If not, then show us how you would get what you want, as an admin?
*
If it doesn't grant me an audience with one of you, then your sarcasm is good humour.

QUOTE(Mavik @ Oct 30 2012, 10:34 PM)
Based on your first paragraph, you can question a persons reasoning, rationality and morality but who are you to JUDGE them? Same way, what is your reason for starting this thread other than asking for a discussion with the admins, what is your rationale behind those reasons and then I will ask you about moral ethics once you furnish this. Seriously because up until now, there are no concrete reasons other than just assumptions.
*
You are d*mn right I have no right to judge them. Call it self-righteous anger if you may, but I am extremely curious to see how people like these can lived on without getting judged about something which are utterly wrong.

The rationale behind an organic discussion over the online version is simple. In real life conversations, it is not that easy to leave the conversation like how you are able to ignore a person's opinion online.

QUOTE(Mavik @ Oct 30 2012, 10:34 PM)
For your second paragraph, my reason for saying that it is ideal is because I don't believe in a perfect world. It doesn't mean that people can not dream and have goals or strive to improve or evolve. You assumed so, but frankly, I used to be an idealistic person but slowly I am becoming a realist. As a realist I take the world as it is, I don't force everyone to be a realist or an idealist or just being plain pessimistic. I believe that God created each and every one of us unique but I don't impose my beliefs on everyone by saying that they must furnish me with reasons why they don't believe in this or that, then further question their rationality and then judge them based on my own moral compass. Frankly do you actually idealize to build something to fly or did the wright brothers dream on inventing the aero plane? Personally if you can't even grasp that, it goes a very long way on how your thought process is.
*
But what if being a realist also means you are trading off basic common sense and rationality which only can be found in ideals? Is that really a sacrifice worth throwing away for the sake "fitting in" to contemporary society? We all know that even I will have to eventually pay my bills and face my reality but d*mn it I will not throw away all sense of rationality because the society decided that "it is how it should be" and other cliches like that.

*Thoughts*

At this moment, I should be expected to stop after seeing how my proposal has been taken like a joke. People will eventually come to me and say enough is enough, they don't really care what you think, and you should just move on, now that they have managed to turn your opinions into hilarity.

I am defeated for good, and I will admit it, that I have no influence at all with mere texts.

I lose, and you mods and admins have won.

As a result, I will be silenced of my opinions, as you have intended.

Good night.

To the other forummers, I have fought, and lost, and I am no match.

But I fought.

QUOTE(doneright @ Oct 31 2012, 12:29 PM)
what a lengthy topic.

to deadlocks. tell you what. even if someone does agree to meet you up, but refuse to have a sensible conversation with you, how would you make of it?

how was your day
friend wanton is too hard. i dont have teeth to chew

i asked what was your day
she sells sea shells on the sea shore
you see, meeting up or not, you cant treat people as if they are machines and will comply to your demands and instructions. what diffrentiates people from machines is that they can make choices that defy logic, defy truth dan defy justice. your thinking is too simple, and too naive.

you should be harrassing Najib, for all your energy, determination for justice. i sincerely hope you do. because your talent and energy is wasted on something unnecessary

I know. But in real life you can see the true colours of people, you see.

The mods and administrators here have made it clear.

This is what they will respond to the each of the question below:

1) Why are you following such rules?

"Erm, rules are rules. Must follow."

2) But what if the rules are questionable, and what if I can pinpoint its flaws?

"Ern, still don't care. We don't make the rules, so we have no choice but to follow it."

3) Why do you even follow a specific rule without understanding the purpose behind it, and it some one has pointed out a flaw behind such a rule, why do you still continue to follow it without any justification?

"Erm...it's their house rules, so cannot say anything. We don't care even if we know to some degree it has its flaws. Just follow. You don't like you don't be here."

To the others whom I have yet to reply, hang on. I got plenty of office work here to be done.
