Noted one user posted this, i quote:Okay, I had CSC problem like you guys, contact names are not displayed in messages as well as caller ID. I tried changing CSC to different codes available (OPS, KOR, TGY..) but none of them work. But I figured out what caused the problem, for me anyways.
You see, I backed up the whole device in Recovery after update to the new version. Changed to new CSC and restore from that backup, and the problem persisted. But a fresh wipe/install works just fine. So here's what I suggest you do if you have CSC problem:
1. Backup your apps and data with Titanium Backup or any equivalent app.
2. Fresh install/wipe your phone with ver 1.4
3. Leave CSC as default of BTU, it should work without changing
4. Restore the backup with Titanium Backup, be sure to select App + Data only, don't restore any system settings
5. Reboot after restore finish and it should work now. Contacts should appear in messages and caller ID.
I can't narrow down what causes the problem, but a clean install definitely helps. I tried many combinations for hours and this is the only I got it to work with the default BTU as well as any CSC I change to, restore from recovery definitely stuffs things up.
