QUOTE(mfa333 @ Mar 14 2007, 04:49 PM) actually monitoring packet in/out from/to each clients can be done using rflow collector. it will show the total amount of bandwitdh used each user through their MAC address (Hostname can be resolved using simple .txt file)just download rflow collector v3.0 at dd-wrt webpage, it self-explainatory and easy to configure. but, ooppss...rflow only support standard version of dd-wrt and it does not included in mini/micro version. So only wrt54gv5 < (and its relavent siblings) can use rflow. |

QUOTE(fx_53_xt @ Mar 16 2007, 10:48 PM) anyone know the script to figure out which pc is opening what connection to the WAN? can use rflow, read my post above...cuz i observed a strange behavior on the router lately that the max 3000 connection is always breached and congested my router. this might sounds normal if there's someone BT-ing. problem is, all three pc connected to the router are juz merely web surfing, MSN chats and probably one or two downloads only.... Added on March 16, 2007, 11:16 pmFound the command as belows : sed -n 's%.* src=\(192.168.[0-9.]*\).*%\1%p' /proc/net/ip_conntrack | sort | uniq -c | sort -gr but things is the the router doesn't give me any answer regarding the command above at all QUOTE(siaukia @ Mar 17 2007, 07:21 AM) hi there, i think probably i'l lbe joining this horde later or sooner, but i'm wondering if i'm getting GL/GS from lyp these week will i able to patch it to DD WRT ? welcome to the club! yeah, any GL can flash it to dd-wrt.and i extremely hate my DSL600EU, what are the other best option to pair with this router? except aztech product? |

you have to enable rflow in dd-wrt first. ( Administration>Service>Rflow/MACupd), enter the ip of PC running rflow collector. Then, set up Rflow Collector to link up with dd-wrt. U can opt to import MAC-Hostname for better identification later...just follow the pictures below...

its for community wifi project, where people can log in, redirect to community portal page. People can see portal content of that particular community (rukun tetangga). Then, whoever want to use internet; there will be a charged.
Its a pilot project, the owner currently pay for all the cost, but i think there will be lots of ppl joining his wifi community. Added on March 26, 2007, 10:41 pmOf course for business minded people, there will always an opportunity to make some money using this device. one thing which is very important about QoS, always set the uplink/downlink speed at 80-90% of your actual broadband speed, don't ever think that setting up a bit higher will make your speed faster, and if u did so, u just screwing up the whole program...
Added on April 2, 2007, 3:45 amanybody want to know how to enable QoS per client, pm me directly i cannot say it through here... This post has been edited by azmihamzah: Apr 2 2007, 03:45 AM |

QUOTE(osxchd @ Apr 3 2007, 12:26 AM) ok... i need help here, i think lightning struck my modem and router, modem should b gone, but router port 1-4 still ok... but wan dunno still works or not... can any1 tell me how to test it out. thanks... if you want to check whether WAN port is still ok, i think i got the idea of how to do it...1. Connect your pc to LAN port of your router. 2. Enable DHCP, confirm it is working if you can get IP through LAN port from DHCP 3. Disable Internet Connection type (refer to attachment) 4. Bridge the WAN port to LAN (refer to attachment) 5. Then, re-plug the network cable from LAN port to WAN port (which connected to your pc) 6. WAN port is working if you can get IP from DHCP server. You can try to ping test (192.168.1.1) to double confirm... This post has been edited by azmihamzah: Apr 3 2007, 12:53 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |
