for the IP Filter Settings,
Both of the TCP Timeout & UDP Timeout, what does it mean if I increase or decrease its value?

QUOTE(blindbox @ Nov 2 2007, 05:08 PM) Exactly what it means. If you increase the TCP timeout value, your TCP connection would take x seconds of no connectivity for it to remove it from the list. For information on what TCP and UDP is, check out google, wiki, etc please. Pretty rare to find people who doesn't know what timeout means. erm... what about if changing these value will affect the BT speed? |

QUOTE(teikwing @ Nov 21 2007, 02:21 AM) guys..been having probs with my Buffalo WHR-G54S with DDWRT v23 lately. always faces frequent disconnection then the router will connect itself again. keep changing IP adress. think it just restarted itself? power is still on. just out of sudden can't browse net, BT & MSN. few times a day! any idea what is happening? prob only exist around 2 weeks ago. try other version as well. but mostly it is due the tm side problem, maybe the line or the exchange as stated by mikelanding |

QUOTE(Doggystyle @ Dec 2 2007, 01:53 PM) Hi guys, nope, you need at least 4mb flash romIf I go down to lowyat and grab a WRT54G, will I be getting as below? 8.0 240 MHz 8 MB(ram) 2 MB(flash) CDFF CDFG Broadcom BCM5354KFBG Chipset with non-replaceable antennas. Is 2mb flashrom sufficient for 3rd party flashing? or do i need to find an older version? Edit: The stats for the router is at this link WRT54 |

My friend just bought a wrt54gl v1.1 and direct flashed to v24 standard version without go through the micro version first, so it bricked the router but fortunately can recover via tftp method.

QUOTE(vyzc @ May 26 2008, 11:42 AM) According to DD-WRT's wiki, the WRT54GL v1.1 supports all versions. I wonder if this still holds true? I was planning to flash mine with the v24 standard version. Seems like I should flash the micro or mini version first. Can anyone clarify this? for the 1st time, you must flash to mirco version first before going to other version. else, the router will be bricked, the power LED keep on flashing non-stop, but can recover it back with tftp method as shown in dd-wrt website. now my friend is running V24 standard on his WRT54GL v1.1 |
