okay, will try it later. smile.gif

if I wanna update to RC4, anything that I should pay attention? Shall I direct update it via the web GUI without doing other thing like reset or restore to factory setting?

finally no frequent disconnected problem. rclxm9.gif anyone can tell me what is going to happen actually?

I'm using linksys wag200g all-in-1 adsl modem before getting the wrt54g v2.2 and I always faced the disconnected problem frequently, at least 1 time per day if lucky but normally more than that, sometime even 2 or 3 times within 5 minute. at first, I think is tm problem and I called to the CS centre but they cant helped me much...asked me to do those silly checking. after getting the wrt54g router and flashed to dd-wrt, I experienced no disconnected problem. btw, I got the router on tuesday evening. smile.gif

I do not have the memory leak problem anymore. Have you reset the router after upgrading to RC-4?
*
you mean by press and hold the button behind the router? I only do restore to factory setting before and after flashing.

Yeah, hard-reset by pressing it for 30 seconds at least while the router is on.

Maybe Eko's code that fixed the memory leak problem does not make it for the WRT54G firmware yet.

okay...

if now I'm using v23 SP2 and wanna update to v24 RC4, could I direct flash it to std? or I need go for mini and then std version?

I faced a problem now...

Since I use the WRT54G v2.2 with flashed to dd-wrt, the wireless signal strength will decrease after some period usage but I did not experience it before when I still using the WAG200G.

LOL, I am sure everyone knows that.

Are you sure it is not due to inference? Maybe your unit is overheating. Make sure it gets enough ventilation, or if you want, try Tomato.

I have disable the wireless for the WAG200G and the router is placed beside the WAG200G, so I think that's not the cause. btw, I always put a small fan blowing it.

got another question...

what make my WRT54Gv2.2 restart itself? is it due to the dd-wrt or router itself? my previous WAG200G dont have this situation although when it hang, I still need to restart myself.

I think it is the DD-WRT. What version did you use now?
*
v23 SP2, tried v24 RC3/4 before but due memory leak, I flashed it to v23 SP2.
